A série gira em torno de Jem, a vocalista misteriosa do grupo de rock "Jem e As Hologramas". Ela também é Jerrica Benton, proprietária e gerente da Starlight Music. Mas apenas sua banda(Kimber, Aja e Shana) sabe que Jerrica também e a Jem, a banda tem uma rivalidade com o grupo de rock "As Desajustadas", que durante a série passa por varias desavenças e aventuras.

And it was sad that this cartoon didn't reached further... Besides The Americas (in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese), Australia / New Zealand (in English) and some countries in Western Europe* (in English, Spanish including a few of its' dialects, French and Italian) it didn't ran further (don't know either if Cartoon Network / Boomerang did reran it outside of those areas in the mid Aughts). * although the theme song was dubbed into Hebrew, we still don't know yet if the cartoon broadcasted in Israel in either Hebrew and / or English

Normally, I’m not a fan of changing the sound, especially with the original version being such a bop but that Hebrew dub is SLAPPING!

The more I listen to that one, the more the tune sounds like it should be the French theme. It just reminds me of the kind of theme certain anime get in 80's French dubs.

Somehow I'd never heard the Hebrew version before, so thank you for that. Fascinating! (I find the variations on The Misfits "interruption" perhaps more interesting as they vary from language to language in a way the Jem parts don't seem to)

Aww, I like Christina Aventura's Jem theme in Italian. I even became fluent with the lyrics and I'm not even fluent in Italian despite loving languages and speaking some already. Haha. 😊😃

Igual, entiende un poco de las otras versiones menos la de hebreo, y la de español es la mas parecida a la original en el ritmo de la letra y lo que dice la letra. Y aunque yo vivía en Mexico pero cerca de Estados Unidos, nunca había escuchado la version en español. Todas las caricaturas que vimos eran en ingles por el acercamiento entre los países ya que teníamos los canales disponibles y poco después nos mudamos para acá. Creo nos ayudo a aprender el idioma muy rapido.

Indiscutivelmente a VERSÃO CANTADA BRASILEIRA é a MELHOR! A ABERTURA em si parece real por causa do movimento dos CABELOS da JEM e parece que a DUBLADORA dá VIDA à PERSONAGEM JEM quando canta... PARABÉNS à DONA DO CANAL pelo BELÍSSIMO TRABALHO no vídeo colocando a mesma ABERTURA CANTADA em várias LÍGUAS!

Wiwis Zamac, me parece que lo que encuentras dificil de digerir es el acento tan fuerte de Lady Zu (veterana cantante profesional brasilena que canto la mayoria, pero no todas las canciones de "Las Misfits" en Portugues). Ella parece tener el tono grueso perfecto para el personaje (podia decir lo mismo de Kesha, aunque no lo creas). Date la oportunidad de escuchar otras de sus canciones para que puedas comenzar a apreciarla...

Olá Simon, ainda não postamos essa música, mas pretendemos em breve, só uma perguntinha, você lembra do nome dela e também de outras ou somente está a procura da versão br usando o nome traduzido? É que de todas as músicas e de um listagem dos episódios que faltaram ainda tem algumas que temos duvida sobre a exibição no Brasil, ao todo confirmado, foram 52 episódios

When we made the video we were not aware that there was a short version of the opening, and we thought that there was only the long version, but I intend to redo the video and include the audio in French Canadian in better quality, edit and improve the audio of the Hebrew and Portuguese version , and insert the Italian version

*Cara, a versão brasileira é sempre a melhor. Todos são legais, mas a versão brasileira é melhor. Fora que a Lady Zu cantando as músicas de AS DESAJUSTADAS em português, ficou muito legal.*

Quem cantou na versão em português foi o nosso rouxinol da música brasileira, a grande Sarah Regina que antes de dublar e cantar aberturas diversas foi cantora. E que voz, hein...sabia cantar como ninguém!!!

OK, en la tele sólo la pasaron en MX (red Canal 5) y sólo por los primeros 26 episodios. Nunca lograron ponerse de acuerdo para extender los "derechos" de las canciones traducidas fuera de MX. En Puerto Rico (1986-91) sólo la pasaron (Telemundo de PR) en la misma forma que fuera de MX, voces en Español, pero canciones en Inglés. Estas canciones traducidas (menos de 50 variantes de un máximo de 189 posibles) aparecieron por primera vez en la cuenta de YT: The Mitigating, quien las bajó (él hizo un "playlist" de todas ellas, pero también tiene en su cuenta TODAS las variantes en Inglés) en la mas alta fidelidad posible. Estas fueron obtenidas, junto con unas pocas más por YT: The Jem Player, quienes han hecho productos (versiones mezcladas y extendidas) a base de estas canciones traducidas.

Finally someone answered in a language I can write on (I don't know proper Portuguese and Spanish is my native one, so...). The only missing version of the opening was Cristina D'Avena's for Mediaset in Italy and that was almost a full-sized song (shorter version runs for almost 2 minutes, the official extended one for over 3 1/2, rather than the base 42 seconds, probably slightly shorter for the Hebrew version) VERY DIFFERENT from the others... Wonder how the Brazilian fans got that Hebrew version we NEVER HEARD BEFORE.... OK, I'll try the Google version of my Brazilian Portuguese translation (sorry if I've messed something there...). [Finalmente, alguém respondeu em uma língua que eu possa escrever (eu não sei português apropriado e espanhol é o meu nativo, então ...). A única versão que faltava da abertura era Cristina D'Avena para Mediaset em Italy e aquele era quase uma canção cheia-feita sob medida (a versão mais curta funciona por quase 2 minutos, o oficial estendeu um para sobre 3 1/2, melhor que a base 42 Segundos, provavelmente um pouco mais curto para a versão hebraica) MUITO DIFERENTE dos outros ... Gostaria de saber como os fãs brasileiros conseguiram aquela versão hebraica que nunca ouvimos antes ... OK, eu vou tentar a versão do Google da minha tradução para o português do Brasil (desculpe se eu matei alguma coisa lá ...).] PS: Si algún fan brasileño puede entender Español puede utilizar ese idioma para responder... (para eso "somos familia")

Hello ^^ We thank you for the comments ^^ I hope you enjoyed this video with several openings, we not put the Italian version because we think it's more like a theme song and not as an opening, soon we will post it and a few more extended themes translated and the version in Hebrew we found in extensive research looking for other versions of the opening of Jem. The worst is the one in hebrew. The best is the original english version. The French version has parts that are very good, such as "Mon nom c'est Jem, et pour tous ceux que j'aime, mon nom c'est Jem ". But the interpretation is really poor. The other versions are good, but not as great as the original.

Just when I thought the brazilian version was the worst then the hebrew version started playing! Those guys pretty much butchered the song!

Cain Nuke, probably not, since this is a way different language we're talking about. But by using a different background music than the others (except for the Italian one, not shown here, which is a whole different song altogether) it sets me as a base for a whole different cartoon based on the same characters, but set in the early '90s, rather than the mid '80s. Talking about that Hebrew song, I've read in another YT comment that there was a Hebrew-dubbed version of the cartoon with all songs dubbed, like in the Brazilian version, of which many songs and episodes haven't been seen over there yet or the song videos brought to YT. Wonder if someone (if that rumor is true) will begin to unearth those songs in Hebrew within the next few months or years. Would be interesting to listen and see the difference with the other versions.
