Yes, I make about 3000 decisions at work and I am with Jemelle, I don't want to make ANY decisions at home unless I absolutely have to! Ladies, got to find a capable man who can make wise choices so you don't have to ALL the time.

They really connect and communicate at an unspoken level. They are very happy. It is so evident.

This is so dope. We discuss this on a daily basis we definitely believe in 50/50 but we fall into traditional gender roles at times which is ok because ONLY YOU CAN DEFINE YOUR RELATIONSHIP 💯‼️

The Bible states the husband is the head of the household. To further elaborate, the husband is to love his wife as Christ loves the church. In addition, the Word of God also states husbands and wives are to "submit" unto one another. In other words, they are to have mutual respect, love, appreciation, kindness, trust, be willing to admit their faults and to forgive... Marriage is definitely an equally balance partnership. It takes both spouses to be humble, fair, and honest. Real talk, a couple that fully trust and obey God first will have an unbreakable union. And will allow no man or woman put asunder. For me personally, marriage is something I am no longer anxious for. I made some poor choices, and learned the hard way about relationships. So, I decided to wait on God. Lord willing, He will send me my Christian soldier. In the mean time and between time, I'm praying and working on self improvement. Taking my time, being content in my single life. God is truly good to me.

This was a word! I don’t like how people twist the Bible definition of marriage to sound like a bondage where the man is in control and the woman has no say. Like you rightly stated, they are supposed to yield to each other, to submit. God bless you for this 💕 and I like your trust in His timing. I’m there too, no rush.

I understand their concept of 50/50. But 50/50 means your keeping tabs on each other smh. But it's supposed to be 100/100 giving your all from your heart without keeping tabs.... But that's just me.

I agree with you, but 50/50 is a good start. Eventually... hopefully they work their way up to 100/100. My husband and I started at the 50/50 mentality and now 17 years later we’re at 100/100 with no discussions... just got here and it’s a great place to be.

Dorcas Deroneth that’s how I understood it as well, they each participate in making decisions, thus the 50/50. I did not take it to mean that they do not each bring 100% of themselves to the relationship.

Semantics... 50+50=100. The argument you are making is pedantic and amounts to nothing, since you really can’t quantify something that is so subjective and not quantifiable.

There's nothing like 50/50. Someone decided to take the relationship to the next level, and that's the leader.

Jemele is the bread winner and she’s famous. They say 50/50, but that’s what successful women say not to emasculate their husbands. It’s 70/30. And he’s going to be over it within 10 years.

@@k.alvarado6237 I guess we'll all save the thread until then? You're very negative, but you're entitled to your opinion. My husband is happy with this as I have the say so with more or less everything. When it comes to manual chores, herbs or healthy eating I let him have his way. We picked from day one and so far we've been living this way with no complaints. We are adults about it. If someone changes their mind down the road, they weren't happy to begin with and shouldn't have gotten married.

Perfeccionista - glad yours worked out. Wendy Williams, Jill Scott, Sherri Shepherd... I could go on about famous breadwinner women and their not as successful husbands. I’m glad it works for you.

Perfeccionista women who sign up for 50/50 relationships usually want it in the beginning it’s not until later they realize that dynamic leaves them to exhaustion. This is just my observation & humble opinion.

The insecurity of some of the “men” in these comments is disappointing. Can’t say I’m shocked but y’all gotta come out of the 1950’s.

@@jay3414 i think she wants blk men to be better and wants us to support blk women the way they tend to support us. i wouldnt classify that as a problem with blk men per se. as far as i can tell she has great rapport with a lot of blk men, at least blk male athletes. maybe not so much with blk men on the internet lol it's so strange to me that a blk dude wrote an article a couple yrs ago called "straight blk men are the white people of the blk community". brothas have been coming at jemele in droves ever since she retweeted it, sending her all kinds of hate mail and swarming the comment section of all her videos. meanwhile, the blk guy who actually wrote the article is doing just fine at home in pittsburgh and to this day has not received any backlash whatsoever 🤔
