The difference in experience that women have is totally true. I’m a guy that grew up in a car house. My dad was a meticulous hotrod mustang person, clean car with a project in the garage. He sadly passed when I was nine from cancer. I learned a lot from him and he was my hero. But I was raised by my mom and much older sister. The put the values of feminine perfectionism into me that were different and difficult to get past. Most people in the car community don’t care about how you are dressed at an event, they don’t care how the paint looks or if the engine is all the way done. They care that you are driving and if you are having fun and interacting with everyone else. Fun should be fun and not attached to some perfection. My life lesson is drive what you want, how you want and when you want, but only if it suites you as a person. Sometimes Emilia’s videos rub me the wrong way because she’s always buying expensive exotic sports cars and saying look at me. But she has earned it and that’s cool. This world is a funny place. We should all have ours. Eat more cake when we can, life is very short. Judgement is stupid.

Watching how Alanis King got treated in the comments section of Cars and Bids was a real eye opener for how women still get different treatment from men in this arena.

With all the country's racing roots in backwoods bootleg running through the woods, and all the different awesome landscapes across the continent I always wondered why Rally never really took off to be mainstream in the USA. Maybe there needs to be a Netflix WRC series about the history then a Drive to Survive (literally!) type WRC show. Make sure you buy an EVO or WRX before it comes out though!

I am from NZ and live in Finland. I think the late Ken Block lifted the entertainment aspect of it. If anything I see Dakar as the marriage that can work for a Euro/American event, as WRC and Baja are way too deep into their own formula. LeMans has the Garage 56 twist where they let one team from a different format race against the pack each year.

Been listening to this since the beginning. Great podcast...but had to skip the first few mins of this one... can't listen to someone saying KFC/McDonald's ect is good food..it's not..that's not why no it's popular...most people are unhealthy enough without promoting that trash..

The late Carl Ruiz objectively reviewed it and I think there is a lot of capitalist baggage hate. As he noted the chips in McDonald's, even for a high end restaurant are at a high level.
