18:54 was phrased in a misleading way. A number added to itself five times is that number times 6 (if there are five plus signs, there must be six numbers). Of course, 26/6 is not a terminating decimal, so the fact that the tenths place was the highest level of precision is a giveaway that they actually want you to divide by 5, so I guess it's fair. If I were a teacher, though, I would give a free point for that question on a test.

To the people in the chat who didn't understand how pemdas works: addition and subtraction are equal, so you do them from left to right. That's why i think "pemdas" as a rule is weird bc people apparently learn it means everything actually goes rigidly in that order when it actually doesn't

If you are doing just addition and subtraction, It doesn't matter whether you do it left-to-right or addition first and then subtraction. You will get the same answer.

@@Markus0021 Replied to this but my youtube seems to be malfunctioning so sorry if this comes up twice :D But yeah the order does matter quite a lot and will give different answers. If you do 1-2+3 from left to right, you get -1+3=2. If you do it addition first, you get 1-5=-4
