It's so nice to hear interviewers refer to the Doctor as "the Doctor" instead of the show's title.

I remember watching the first ever episode of Dr Who, and I even remember it being repeated the following Saturday, along with the second episode. I remember this, because I am a sad old git.

The Dr. hasn't had a 'love interest' since Rose. Yeah, he's had a companion who was in love with HIM, but he didn't feel the same way. With Donna and Amy, it was a deep friendship. Although Amy was a little lusty after him, both she and the Dr. knew she was REALLY in love with Rory. I'd love to see him really be in love with his companion and how this new Dr. would handle it.

I love Jenna-Louise Coleman and I found out she is going to be on Doctor Who. So I decided to see what this whole show was about. So after my initial shock thAT THIS SHOW IS HALF A CENTURY OLD. I gradually tried to watch all the seasons (new and old) and at the beginning I really could not believe the Doctor was married! 11 just looks like someone who would tie down. I still kind if believe that, but I'm curious to see we're this show is going to take off with Clara even though I miss the Ponds.

Absolutely agreed. I think it's a shame when we don't get to get to experience a "regular adventure" with the doctor and the companion(s) and just see their relationship build, but rather are thrust into a constantly pushing plot. Overarching plots are fine, but sometimes they need to take a step back.

Yeah, I wasn't really sure if Amy loved Rory. It's just, maybe it's because it's a new doctor, but he never shows River he loves her in any way like he did with rose. There's no affection or true friendliness, just flirting. I actually got really excited when I heard they might have a connection in The Snowmen. :)

i did say i had dropped the theory because we watched the story of how her parents met and the birth of clara.. remember the most important leaf in human history? my theory was that river was using a ganger, as u can be in another location to operate them, as a possibility. as a way to help the doctor become more of a doctor and less of a destroyer. the point of changing her image was because the doctor knows river as a fighter, gun ho.. by changing appearance u can recreate your character. see?

Bit of a hard question and something which they could never follow up on really. But in the DVD minisodes, we saw a version of The Doctor taking her to their final trip together. So it's possible he's let River go. But then... if River herself is anything to go by, it's a very open-relationship....

River could not tell amy and rory cause that would fuck up the remaining fixed points of rivers past. Nothing to do with fun or acting, she just didnt want her past memories with the doctor changed or altered

Well no, because the core was highly unstable when river did her upload so that everyone else could be downloaded, basically when river uploaded herself to the unstable core, everyone else was downloaded back, thus destroying her body in the process, however i will tell you even if they could save River the doctor can't go back in his personal timeline

u said river needs to stay river.. i was just pointing out that she had quite a character arc storyline,, started as an trained killer and went on to be a caring intelligent woman. its why i thought she was clara. we first see her as the dalek, a race the doctor hates the most, to help him face his issues. she was by the frozen pond when he was trying to deal with losing the ponds, his best friends. and face the grandfather god whom consumes memories. the wifi story reminded me of the data core

Right before the oldest doctor leaves he is sad and tearing up, you here River referring back to this in the Library. If the Doctor, one of the most confident men in the universe, knew he could save River and come back to get her, Why would he be crying at their last romantic meeting before her death?

I don't agree. Amy was definitely in love with Rory indeed, but the Doctor is definitely in love with Amy as well, and we're a lot to think so. Plus there is River, who actually married him. So,... yeah you forget some important stuff!

holy shit, ok the timelords were destroyed between 8th and 9th doctors, before then yes timelords were around. River was saved because the doctor downloaded her consciousnesses onto his screwdriver, which allowed for her download to be complete. I have been over this argument many times with others and i hoped that river would survive, but she doesnt. And Donna survived because the teleport that was supposed to send her to the TARDIS glitched and sent her into the matrix like the library

I really like Clara.. I don't like the way they have the 'who is she' storyline because we've had that with river (who I don't like) and its like Moffat can't write a series without repeating it.
