Jennifer Garner (Daredevil, TV's "Alias") and Mark Ruffalo (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) star in this hilarious flash-forward romance about a pre-teen girl who goes from geek to glamorous. With the help of some magic wishing dust, 13 year-old Jenna Rink (Garner) becomes 30 and gorgeous overnight, with everything she ever wanted, except for her best friend Matt (Ruffalo). Now, this grown woman must create some magic of her own to help the little girl inside find the true love she left behind.

@trinaq In Jenna’s defense, she was unaware of how her life turned out after her 13th birthday. Her wishing to be 30 was in an attempt to escape her socially awkward geeky ways. She never intended on ditching Matt, cutting ties with her parents, or hooking up with the creepy names dude (who was married to someone else). Hence why she was happy to see and spend time with Matt as adults. Jenna even asked Matt if she could keep the dream house he made for her and felt bad and guilty of everything that happened between them.

Yes. During my childhood and teenage years, I was the Matt in a lot of people's lives. Fast forward 15 years, I'm more alone than ever, and the worst part: I miss myself. I lost my essence and quirkiness. I'm in no way the same.

The young actors are terrific in this movie. This scene is such an honest depiction of what kids did to each other that it's actually painful to watch.

I like the scene with Matty dancing. He for sure is the coolest person at that party. Burning down the house is such a great song. It is also used in a scene of "The banger sisters", a movie worth watching

Heck! When I was a teen, that never would have slid. I had a similar party like this when I was 13 and again when I was 15 which my parents were fine with. However, they were stricter in the sense that they wanted to see who was coming into the house.

She only invited the "cool" and "popular" kids. Matt was a slight exception, because he was automatically a true friend to her.

She clearly didn’t have any other friends (except Matt) and was very unpopular. And that fact just proves it. Hence why she was desperate to fit in the popular kids who probably pretenders to be nice to her just to use Jenna for things, like tricking her into doing their homework for them.
