You do not know what Holland is? I think you are American and you still have a bit of history to know. In 1626 the Hollanders founded the Nieuw Amsterdam region. This was on the island of Manhattan. In 1647 Peter Stuyvesant became Director General of the New Netherlands. In 1653 a wall was built to protect against the Indians. The street along the wall was called Walstraat (Wall Street). In the run-up to the Second English-Dutch War in 1664 New Amsterdam was conquered by the English, who called the New York settlement, to the Duke of York. In 1673 the Netherlands once again owned Manhattan, but soon it was finally exchanged with the British against the country of Suriname at the Treaty of Westminster in 1674. So, Holland or the Netherlands has played a significant role in American history;)
