The takeaway from this scene is she was the mascot. She was cheering, literally jumping up and down, pounced on Adrian, pawed him, and "bit" his arm. That is commitment.

I loved "Monk". I remember the Mascot and wanted to know who it was. You did a great job. You were a perfect "silly girl". You played Rosalyn Rosenfeld like nobody else could have. You brought her to life in a way that people could like her, as her husband did. You were magic.

I like Lawrence & Silver Linings, but her performance wasn't "fearless". Nothing against Lawrence it's just that there's very little in the movie that required it any more than numerous other films.

I know I'll get a shitload of hate comments back for this but I just don't see what the monstrously big deal is with this girl. She's a good actress but not the reincarnation of Meryl Streep she's made out to be (and I've seen almost all her movies). She's pleasantly very pretty but not this incredible world class beauty she's made out to be. She seems quite nice and refreshingly normal and that in itself is held up to be evidence of her great wit and charm. She just seems kind of like a nice and pretty sorority girl you might find on a good state university campus. I guess the hype takes on a life of its own.

I agree with you... She's a pretty funny girl, but as an actress, not as good as everyone makes her out to be. She wasn't that amazing in Silver Linings, and got the Oscar for it... But as a person she's surely hilarious.

I will get hate for this but Meryl Streep is slightly overrated...depending on the context I guess. Jennifer Lawrence is refreshing in a sense that she is down to earth. I don't really watch her movies, but she gives great interviews, she is funny, she is shy, and she is a different kind of good looking. There is something wholesome about her. She will certainly become one of the more prominent actresses in the next decade as she is only 23.

I think it just depends on people's judgement really...for example I seen everywhere that DiCaprio or Sean Penn are great actors but I've never been blown away by their performances in movies I've seen them (although Leo in Wolf of Wall Street did a good job)...So I guess its normal that part of an audience is not impressed by an actor

I've read some of the "teen" comments here and it's so depressing. Are they really that shallow and childlike? I don't remember me being that way, but then I was brought up by a mother who wouldn't put up with it. Having said that, I think this young lady is pretty, funny and most important: normal. I hope she stays that way and doesn't let mindless posts by people with their pants hanging off their butts make her feel any less. I'm sorry for your parents. They have failed you in an epic way.
