Jennifer Lopez is still getting ruthlessly mocked.
Last week, she got trolled for a clip from her film “This Is Me … Now: A Love Story.”
And now, Lopez’s Bronx go-to bodega order is going viral. In the footage, she says that she’d ask for a ham and cheese on a roll, a small bag of chips and an orange drink - adding about the unspecified drink, “If you know, you know.”

They asked her questions about what she used to do when she was back in the Bronx which was well over 30 yrs ago not last month. We can never take away that she is a true Bronx native NYer, it’s the misrepresentation of her “hood” experiences. Be proud that your family had a private detached 3 story home on a safe block. Be ok that you received a private school education and represent for all the girls that had similar upbringings. The Bronx isn’t all gunshots, gangs and trafficking. It’s NY’s hidden gem and the last bastion of native NYers.

Orange drink aka quarter water. There was also purple, red, and blue. I don't even remember Fanta Fanta being in the fridge back then. It may have been, but I just don't remember. Our go-to soda was Tropical Fantasy that cost. 50 Not defending Jennifer with regard to her behavior but I know the bodega experience is valid. I mean no disrespect.

First we have to remember she's in her 50s so when she was "running the block" yes, Ham & cheese was a thing or turkey and cheese, some stores would even have them premade for $2.00, this is way before the chopped cheese era. I live in the Bronx and I ham and cheese sandwiches all the time from the bodega. They’re asking her questions about what she did close to 30 yrs ago and people expect her to answer as if it was just last week or something. They feed off of negativity and It’s obvious that a lot of these people aren’t happy in their own lives. That’s the only kind of people that try bringing others down. Others that are on a completely different level then them.

She is telling the truth!, in the Bodega's where we lived they made loads of ham and cheese hero's and the orange quarter waters. I went to Kips Bay at the same time she did and we all got them from the bodega across from IS 174 or pizza . In Castle hill there were donuts, but the same combos. Bronx born and raised on now laters, chico sticks, sunflower seeds, pickles , quarter waters and those ham and cheese or spiced ham and cheese hero's with mayo . Leave her alone. They also had those cookies with the sprinkles and coconut macaroons. All the kids of that generation got them from the bodega.

Her parents weren’t on public assistance (nothing wrong with that by the way), but they weren’t middle class. They were working class in a working class neighborhood, and Jennifer attended Catholic high school in a middle class are of the Bronx. She does exaggerate, because the area where she grew up was actually pretty safe and quiet, but definitely not an affluent flower middle class neighborhood. It wasn’t ghetto.

I worked w the Boys n Girls Club and met the Bronx director who was a keynote speaker on teen intervention , and in front of a room of almost 500 people , he NAMES J LO as the ONE celebrity who has NEVER given back to the Bronx and said he would tell her to her face and could do it because he knows her personally as well as her family .

Idek what Bodega means other than it was said in a doritos commercial said something like "that crunchy crispy chesey Bodega snake". Make she was drink dorito powder. I wish they sold that I'm bulk because they never put enough on the doritos. They had a warning on the bag like "danger: extra cheesey", but it was not even dangerous amount of cheese, half the chips were just like plain tortilla chips.

I don't know about all of her claims and experiences being valid, but I can tell you that her trio to the bodega can certainly be affirmed. 'Back in the day' BLTs were not common. Especially for school-aged kids. A lot of people (including me) ate Ham & Cheese on a roll for lunch. The orange drink, aka quarter water, was optional. For breakfast, it was the bagel with cream cheese heated up in the microwave. I'm not a die-hard fan of Jennifer's work, but I do respect and enjoy specific contributions to the entertainment industry. And I don't concern myself with the personality of celebrities so long as their in the proper character when entertaining. You all can't really discredit her about her requested sandwich from the bodega, and the orange drink is real. There was purple, blue, and red that I can remember. People need to cut it out.

I saw her doc. The amount of friends, partners and sycophants she has, and the level of luxury she lives in makes her not eligible for pity Lol. That's not the type of person who will be brought down with fan hate, she has a better life than 99% of humanity. Sure it may let her down to know that her time has passed, or that she's not a big star anymore, but she has a lot. The level of luxury this woman lives in is insane.
