I will of course take accountability. I was naive and desperate. When Angela said he could have killed me, i laughed it off but he actually did kill me. He killed that part of me that was so trusting and so desperate to have any little inkling of love. I was numb and broken. He completely broke me. Had me thinking i could never go back to my old life. I felt shame for so many years. I blamed myself much like people watching have done. But i healed and realized this “man” has and continues to do the same to so many people. I couldn’t let him do that. I recognize my strength now. I am a totally different person and i will no longer be silenced or fearful. At the time i thought i invested so much…like a compulsive gambler i couldn’t push myself away from the table no matter how much i lost. It took years for me to forgive myself and rebuild.

When you said you didn't know people like him exist like as to live life as a lie. I met a person like that and he took me threw it. I had no idea that people would do something like that when they claim they loved you. Ughhh I've dated a few Jerks but he was definitely a real demon.. I PRAY I CAN GET THROUGH MY HEALING..... I still feel lost, I lost my confidence completely, I feel so depressed and it's over a stupid ass relationship that I feel for. Thanks for sharing your story. ❤❤❤❤

I really wish black women would stop saying they have a whole degree. When they turn around and make uneducated decisions and don’t use common sense. Just the thought of giving someone $40;000. It is not that much trust in the world to give someone that much money. I do background checks on names, license plates, and the states they are living in. Please do not justify this ignorance, just take the “L”.

A man in South Africa tried this on me. Calls himself a social entrepreneur. He hides behind a Cambridge degree and says he was a former banker. In passing, he quickly suggested I let him invest my money. I did not take the bait. I know all about the electricity, and it said "run" but I was curious about it. He wanted me to help his daughter-- all a ruse. I did not buy the whole story. In the end, I found out he is a narcissist from the woman he was dating. This guy could not buy his own meals properly! I blocked him everywhere.

Mona & Jen was naive. Ladies, young & older, we have to do better. Never place yourself in a situation you can't handle on your own. Moving across the country or another state, not knowing where you'll be living is a no! If you can't afford your own place, don't do it. Giving men large sums of money for an investment or whatever aht...aht...! We not doung that! We can get all giddy thinking we found "the one" & be in love, but don't go head over hills doing the most for a man you have absolutely no clue about. I used to think it takes 4 to 6 months for a person true self to show up, but I believe it's more like 6 months to a year. Don't be foolish be smart & wise.

As hell!!! 40k is a lot to just give away to someone you’re dating also it’s never a good investment strategy to just give someone your money and let them invest it for you unless they have been licensed as a financial advisor and have a proven track record of their ability to invest. Also anyone who promised to triple your money in a few months is probably lying. So many red flags immediately.

He was taking the money that you made weekly...and you continued to do this for 5 years?!...Girl there is no way!! With a masters?!!...what is your degree in? ...Idk if I believe she has a masters...🤔...There is naive and there is just plain..😒....I'm not going to say it. I think as parents we need to really speak to our daughters and sons to be wary of life situations like this...That way they just might be equipped to deal with these situations. Smdh😤

Understand i wasn’t the only one. I had a different upbringing; schoolgirl, green. But other people he scammed were in the life and he still managed to get over. Soon you’ll hear all the stories. He’s been doing this well over 20 yrs and has dozens if not hundreds of victims.

54:22-54:33 Angela that's dangerous, it's not worth being that nosey. You keep saying you wanna run down on him with her after telling Mona he could have unalived her, and you put nothing passed him. 🤷🏾‍♀️🥴 Like girl

I think they need to put his picture up, sounds like there are warrants out if they don’t already have him in custody.
