the only good thing about the pandemic was bei g away from the office for a year and now that I got to go back. I am keeping my head down, working my 8hrs and leaving on time. Also trying to work on finding a new job. Its been 2yr and 6 mths since I started and still haven't gotten my review

Of course I worked with all of them because we are all human and flawed. I have probably even exhibited behavior of all of them from time to time. I try not to but I am human too. The difference is that I tend to focus on getting my work done well and not on ladder climbing. Ladder climbing has a tendency to get you to the top where you are the most likely to fall off when they shake the ladder. All this garbage started to happen at work when top management stopped looking at performance and good character and started to accept those who played the game of work well. Lets face it I am just tired of having to go to work because its just not the best way to earn a living but I am too old to start over. I still want more money and flexibility to do what I want when I am working but ...

I feel like I’m traumatized from the last job that I had. A person that I worked with that was on the same level as I was quit, I left a couple of years later…it took us years to get over the trauma of that place, we spoke to each other about it until we started to gradually get better. I have never seen such a shark-pit of evil in my life, and I hope to god I never do again.

Me too! Ive been branded so many names. I just laugh at it now. As introverts, we’re quite powerful. We are excellent at reading people and seeing right through them. We dont react, we think. Were smart in all senses and wise. We pick our friends carefully. We dont need an audience, we are very secure and content to work on our own. With all this being said, is it any wonder that in a world full of insecure extroverts that we get attacked by these people? Nope. These toxic people are so consumed by jealousy that they dont even know this is why they dislike the introverts. I also now work 99% from home. Pure bliss and im loving it. I no longer have to entertain these ppl and give them they attention they crave.

Been there and for the F sake due to trauma I just shut down and acted as strong as I could, nevertheless I would break down at home, a person of them even referred to me as toxic because "I didn't vibe with the team"

I left this comment on another video and will share here so u know ur not alone: I got fired one time for not "fitting in". All because the "head bitch" ( the girl who had been there the longest, knew everything, and even used a coffee cup that said "queen bee" on it) didn't like me. Bad thing is she was suuuuper nice to me for like the first week or two and we laughed and everything was great. She flipped and did a 180 om me out of the blue and literally started making up stuff that I never said or did and I was attacked by her, the boss and another coworker (attacked meaning confronted randomly about these things I did not do). After about a month working there the boss took me aside and in an overly sweet and fake voice told me I just didn't fit in. I told her what a bitch that other girl was and they could have the shit show, I didn't want a part in it lol

same I got fired once a month after I was hired by a woman who seemed to be all over the boss. I couldnt care less though. She told him I wasnt doing any work but there was no work! I was let to research and list things I find and id complete the task within 2/3 hours. I dont fit in with most companies and just got hired after going back to college ( not easy I cant find a much better job as there arent many jobs) I also intend to continue my studies. I realise I dont fit it because most have low IQ in some type of jobs and it motivates me to continue my studies. I am about to be fired but I did nothing really . I dont care as so far im getting paid and I have to wait. They thought I d fit in but I dont. I dont drink and they sure all do. I just dont want to work again I think. If I had money , I d have remained in the university full time and even. do a phd . Its totally ridiculous in fact to work and the people you are surrounded with are really the bottom of society. Thats the reality and there are videos about it from a PTPOP , he talked about call centers but any customer service job is similar and they are the easiest to get but a lot of other jobs have fancy titles and are more or less a customer service job. I dont even want to be around most of these people. Thank god fr the covid/remote working .

I have worked with a lot of Patty’s… I’ll call some of them Pete… I also currently work with a Rachel & a Nick… Hell if ppl look at themselves they may identify with some. If I ever told on anyone, it was to help because I was conditioned to believe we were a team & we were looking out for one another. That’s the bs I was fed. So that’s why I was telling. Cause I thought I had my coworkers back. Not throwing them under the bus…

I personally feel that talking is not appropriate in the workplace.

Oh I've encountered this one before. When I was new I actually thought she was someone important. She was a person of color and when I got a bigger raise than her (she stole my check stub off of my desk) she stood up in front of the whole department and threatened to beat my "white" a$$. She eventually got herself fired.

My opinion: to each their own. If someone wants to work 60 hours a week because it brings them joy or fulfillment that's their thing. I can't stand the projection though. There is no correct or incorrect way to live your life... the important thing is being clear on what YOU want and what's important to you - which you absolutely are!

It's both infuriating and disgusting that you are experiencing this, and that womxn continue to. deal with. Honestly, it's why I was stoked to age, it happens waaaaay less. Remember for them this is about power, and the only way they get your power is if you give it to them. First thing I would personally do (and have done) in your shoes: active a stealth job search and have a Plan B lining up and consult a lawyer. Next... figure out what feel right for you. Is it a quiet exit to a better workplace, is it filing a complaint (which I'm an advocate for but also not gonna pretend it doesn't bear risk for the person who puts the complaint in at certain companies), is it doing both. What I think you already know is you can't thrive in that environment and something has to be done. I know a lot of women fail to make complaints because they're afraid they'll be known as the person who files sexual harassment complaints - but like then you don't have to worry about a company that tolerates that shit hiring you, ya know? But I say that as a person who financially could withstand an extended employment gap so please take that for what it's worth.

Saying that I’m making work difficult as apparently work isn’t work unless they interact with me (I have literally been told this on more than one occasion). In most places colleagues get away with it and I often think it’s because I’m a minority visually speaking. I had quit working the job with the two Nicks when a female colleague reached back to me and told she it finally dawned on her what I was dealing with and she described it all as a “pack of vultures after live prey”. Most of the time HR gets nervous and try to bounce the issue to me, ad if it’s my fault. This led to a bout of anxiety and depression as it really took a toll on my confidence and led me to try to gain weight and even dress to obscure myself as it really was that bad. Right now I’m working at a job with much less pay and trying to see if I can come up with something to work for myself as the problem hasn’t quelled as I get older but I can’t allow this to damn my quality of life and income either. I have become afraid of working with men unless they’re gay. The sad part is, I’ve also had managers outright tell me that’s just men being men what reaction do I expect? Many even encourage it in “good faith” for the men thinking I really went in there to be a potential conquest. It’s put me in a weird bind career wise as eventually men do become a problem no matter how isolated the job. Sigh. Thank you for your advice. I will try to reassess how I can work with the hand I’m dealing with as it’s a tough one. I cannot afford a lawyer at the moment and I’m too distraught and lost to do anything besides try and try again but I’m exhausted and age cannot come fast enough.

I feel you so much on there being not a lot of good options. But the way they win is if you duck out. And you deserve to do the job you love (without their BS) and get paid top dollar for it. I said, "I mean, why would we be endorsing Fox News?" It was perceived to be a political comment. No -- that was what the algorithm brought up, and we are a non-political (supposedly) organization and we have nothing to do with news sources of any kind.

The world's gone mad. It's really hard in post-brexit Britain as well. These days the best thing to do is to avoid mentioning any kind of news because the B word might come up and you're on a minefield.
