@Scorpio Cara There are but they don’t work for me. Natural hair can have a mind of its own. I’m ok with it, I’m learning what does and doesn’t work for my natural hair. It’s been three years now and it’s gotten so much thicker, healthier and longer than my relaxed hair.

I live in NYC and the heat and humidity been kicking our ass, paid 120 for a silk press that lasted only 3 day's😕. Boy was I so pissed 😤. You've done an phenomenal job 💕.

HECK YESSSS TO THE ROUND BRUSH FOR BLOW DRY...THANK YOU. I haven't seen 1 Black person besides me (Not a stylist) ( cosmetology certificate not licensed) use the round brush for blow drying...💕

I used to silk press my hair a lot a couple of years ago and I wouldn’t wash my hair for 3 weeks. Now that I’m fully natural and I haven’t used heat on my hair for 2 years until last may. My scalp got oily so fast ! I oil my scalp a lot when I have curly hair because it itches if I don’t. I didn’t use any serums or added more product on my hair because my stylist already put enough. After 4 days my scalp started to produce so much oil. After a week my scalp started itching and being really oily. I washed my hair after 2 weeks. I couldn’t take it anymore. My hair has gotten so long and thick but I think I will be using heat after another 2 years !

Ok Cynthia you are the best hairstylist on you tube...I worked with 3 of the best in Chicago as a nail tech...one was an instructor at Pivot Point...hair care is more important than the style..you use great products and it shows...and your styling and cutting are on point..no damaged, burnt, bald heads and hairlines

Her hair is heat trained, you can tell by how straight her hair gets after the blow dryer. Virgin 4 type hair doesn't get that straight after a blow dryer.

I definitely love your channel as it’s extremely therapeutic to watch you help bring your clients hair to life. But I’m noticing that all of your clients shown here either have really thick/long hair that may have some damage from being in a certain style for too long or poor hair care but by the time you are finished their hair looks polished and re born all in one video… ❤ My point is, I’d love to see you display a clients hair journey to where their hair is severely damaged and unhealthy. Patches, short-broken off, split ends, etc so we can see how your products and styling techniques help to restore and help heal a person’s hair over time. If this is possible, please consider it and share. Since most of the female population (especially African American women) have damaged hair as I’ve described… Not all, but a vast majority. Thank you. ❤

Best time to get a silk press is November - cold weather without the humidity or moisture and the snow isnt necessarily raging in the north yet nor is it raining as much like in september or sometimes october (depending on state)

Some dry shampoo and I'm good to go! I always stretch my hair washes as long as possible because my hair is so long and my hair never smells at all. I wear it straight then switch to a ponytail, bun, braidout, then a braided ponytail back to a bun Lol...by then it's time to deep condition and wash. Works perfectly for me and my hair is down to my hip so I'm doing something right.

First off it’s so satisfying to watch a good shampoo 💪🏽 with that said that’s why I love the versatility of our hair ! Ppl talk crap on those that have it straightened often, and tbh I have 3b/c texture and I NEVER wear my hair curly I don’t care for keeping up the maintenance on it. I straighten my hair weekly and I love the look! I can careless about the curls and that’s our option if we do that. This looks beautiful, I so want a salon press. Mine only last a few days at home lol

@@JenniferCynthiaHair my hair used to be like that a few years back. All i ever did was wear it straight and I could hold a press for months. But now I’m fully natural with little to no heat put on my hair but it can still hold a press for that long 😭

10 weeks, and it was washed each week, because otherwise she had dirty hair for 9 weeks! My hair is oily, so I couldn't go over two weeks and not wash it!

I think y’all are reading too much in to this. The video said that she hasn’t had a silk press in 10 weeks not a shampoo and condition. I’m sure she washed her hair in that time period.

It’s a fine work, but I think her hair is really damages I can tell from the ends and how it’s not at it’s finest original. Is going for silk press a good idea when a hair is damaged? I heard too much heat can be dangerous to hair. Also is it good to even have a silk press when your hair is healthy, if yes how often per year?

Most black woman don’t wash their hair often. We don’t produce as much oil as other races, therefore we don’t have to. Our hair takes longer to achieve that “greasy look”. Personally for this style I will stretch it out 3 weeks.

I did my silk press at home and it turned out perfect I used leave in conditioner, heat protection and wrap lotion for blow drying and boom straighten it in small sections then pin up and wrap it in silkkkk bby
