I describe this song as he’s not so much singing as he is almost “sculpting” sound. The pianist here is Igor Krutoy and he’s the original composer of the song decades ago. They’ve collaborated on several amazing performances. The official video for their newest, “Stranger”, was released less than a day ago.

He has full control of the placement of his Larynx. I have seen video of his vocal coach with his hand on the larynx of Dimash, literally holding in in one place as he hit a high note. Aver time, Dimash learned to have full control over the positioning of it.

Igor Krutoy (pianist) is one of the most rich musicians in the world. He first heard Dimash in 2017 about the time Dimash was on the Chinese singing contest.... when much of the world first became aware of Dimash, Igor came out of retirement to compose with and for Dimash. This year, 2023: Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, he received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! He has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is about to complete his PhD in musicology this year.

One of the things I love about Dimash’s singing, is that he induces a sense of calm in me - he removes the worry of ‘will he, won’t he’ achieve the desired notes etc. and leaves me relaxed and more able to appreciate his wonderful artistry! Do you find the same?

J G, I greatly enjoy your reaction and analysis of all your Dimash episodes. I didn't see your first reaction of Dimash Qudaibergen, but I've watched every one thereafter (I will go back and watch the genesis of your DQ journey.) Some people have done a kind of historical review of Dimash's arrival on the world stage beginning with his appearance on the China program Singer 2017 contest tv show. There are others who have posted excerpts of his performances from other singing contests when he was only a teenager. All of the Singer 2017 episodes are posted online and I have enjoyed watching most of them. In fact, the Singer 2017 show has supplemental video stories about many of the contestants. What is striking about Dimash is his (of course) talent, but he has been raised to be self effacing and yet when producers and musicians advise him how to sing them he holds his ground about his production. Dimash took second place in the Singer 2017 contest, and despite the fact he was the most talented singer to cross the stage during the contest, he could not match the maturity or popularity of the winner of the event Ms Sandy Lam. For more about the Singer 2017 show check out the Wiki Singer 2017, it comes with schedule of all the singers performances and how they were rated. Well, you invited us to post which song you should watch next. This is a hard question to answer but I will offer two songs: Unforgettable Day (a song written by Dimash) or Ogni Pietra the song written by the pianist billionaire/producer Igor Krutoy who also wrote the song to your current reaction video "Love is like a dream." Unforgettable Day is sung by Dimash in a number of settings, but I think is most acclaimed in his Gakku concert. I also liked his performance of Unforgettable Day on the "Singer 2017 during the 10th round of the competition. Ogni Pietra is also performed in many setting from Athletic events, celebration of certain National events, to Dimash's very own produced personal concert. The last is my favorite, but it has two specific views: 1. Focuses only on Dimash's face as he sings the song. 2. the same concert but shows more of the surrounding production.
