Great determination in getting seemingly impossible vehicles to run again. That old dump truck needs to be restored and put in a museum, or put back to work on a farm.

@@nitroxylictvuntil ya discovered that the top speed is 40mph, the poor motor is screaming, it can't get out of its own way, the brakes are purely hypothetical, it rides like a shopping cart, and gets 7mpg.

@@nitroxylictvI think the 70s and early 80s trucks are a good balance of daily driver and sheet metal. Currently drive my 83 c10 100 miles a day 5 days a week. Did a complete overhaul on it and on a budget

Most definitely, the junk they make nowadays are near impossible to work on yourself, and are more or less disposable I guess you could say. Heck most times the part along with the labor costs more than what the car is worth. Nothing today but plastic garbage underneath recycled beer cans.

@@dispatch444 thats i believe people should be driving these old vehicles or fully mechanical cars instead of these new efi computers on wheels. you dont need apple car play and a massage chair and you dont need to go 200+ mph to drive a few miles down the road to work. its to go from a to b. i guess people were more humble back then and didnt need much. people these days want a literal living room to drive around in with tv screens and recliners and all kinds of other useless features.

You may consider this comment to be invasive. I know you don’t have an email address or any point of contact (I’m sure you’re busy enough as it is) was just curious what it would take to bring in a young man like myself to shadow you. The odds of you reading this are higher than you accepting this offer and untrusting a stranger from the inter webs. But without trying you would never be where you are and without me asking I would never have the chance to get a response or for you to consider such a feat. I’m not asking to be paid. I’m not asking to be boarded. I’m not asking for anything more than to be in your presence for as long as you deem reasonable. I hold a valid drivers license. I am coherent and good with following directions. I come from a loving family who pushes me to explore opportunities and leave my comfort zone. And I hope you reading this (if possible) sparks your interest in having me out to help, learn, and be good company
