I had never really heard this song before although it sounded familiar and I just wanted to leave a comment saying that I am a pianist myself and this song... E' strano sentire questa canzone suonata da una ragazza non Italiana. Molto brava! (It's very strange to hear this Italian patriotic song while it's played by a not-italian girl. The original italian song speaks about an Italian guy, during the WW2, while he is waking up in a morning and he suddenly sees the Nazis troopers outside his windows. Then he says goodbye to his pretty girlfriend (Bella ciao) and he goes together the fighting Patriots against the enemies. This one is a very sweet and romantic cover of 'Bella Ciao'. You are very good, Jenny, Brava!)

Ma la canzone è o era molto famoso in Germania e probabile non solo qui. C'è il "cantante" Mike Singer che ha rotto Bella Ciao e anche abbiamo una versione tedesca della casa delle carte (non sono sicuro come si chiama in italiano) cosí è un grande hit in Germania. Anche spesso può sentire un remix nelle discoteche. (Spero che hai capito che voglio dire perché il mio italiano è molto brutto xD)

Its not a “patriotic song”. Its a leftist resistance song, this was also played often by Spanish Republicans and other revolutionary socialist and anarchist movements. Yes, its Italian, but Its not about patriotism.

Wonderful version! I just want to point out that this is an Italian song about resistance from the Second World War. It’s very important to us, I don’t mind about it being used in tv series but I think people should know the true meaning of the song. I made a cover too, if you want to check it out 🤙🏼

Nah, it's used in the second world war, but it was already used earlier with the resistance of italian farmers. People think that this song is even older, but there's no significant proof for that statement.

I see, thank you for telling me this, this song have special meaning to we Chinese, it have Chinese version lyrics and still sung by many people. By the way, we don't think it a political related song, it just simply means friendship and courage. It was introduced by Yugoslavia movie , not many Chinese know its a Italy song not a Yugoslavia song.
