I guess that, if the charge sockets are by the window sill, a passenger in an aisle seat might have to reach past a stranger to plug in / unplug their device.

When I did first trainish of Northern Line ext to BPSS I found Tesco at Vauxhall wasnt open, nor some of the cafes in Little Portugual, eventually they opened up

Hi Jen and crew, Nice short video on the new Class 196's...make a note to yourself to always carry a spare memory card...😁 On another note, Class 315's are finally finishing on LORAL with the last one leaving London Liverpool Street on a special tour over it's old workings. I used to sign (drive) those some few years ago now. I'm not to impressed with the overall appearance of the 196, far to bulky at the cab ends. It sounds like they are going to have problems with the leaves on the line, due in part that they are a lighter weight build...we shall see. All the best, Jon B.

Brilliant video Jen, lovely to see SimOnTrains or as some people like to call him CyberTrades as well as Coastway Will and DispatcherStour. The 196's look nice and I look forward to eventually trying them out for myself, shame things went a bit wrong on the WCML during the launch though. Also I agree with Will about plug sockets needing to be in a better spot.

Jen oh Jen. Bad memory cards. Memories of being chief photographer at a wedding. Checked camera etc before leaving home. Turned on camera at church - display had. Card error. Nothing i could do. Borrowed a friends ‘camera’ and did the entire wedding on film.

Jen, I love you, but I disagree with you on plug sockets, imagine dragging a cable all the way from the window past a stranger! This was the case on a refurbed 150 I’ve been on recently and I was just thinking why. Tragic. I do agree with wireless charging though!

The West Midlands Railway Class 196 Civity are very nice trains tbh. Can’t wait to see them on other services in the West Midlands. Plus can’t wait to see the Class 730 Aventras to enter service on London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway this year or next year. Which the Class 730 5-Car are replacing the Class 319 and Class 350/2.
