The save I remember most was from Raul at Highbury in CL when going the wrong way he stuck out his right hand and flicked the ball wide

Maybe he was not the best GK coming out of the box but he was in goal. He was so quick falling to the floor, going sideways. My favourite bits were that save against Raul in CL and 0:25 where he says he didn't touch the ball after having made a fantastic save trying to avoid a CK. A truly GK.

He had an UNBELIEVABLE mentality. I remember the Spurs game where we won the league. He gifted away the penalty that led to the draw in the last minute. Despite winning the league, he WAS PISSED and didn’t initially celebrate with the squad. Also, that clip with save vs Middlesbrough, was not Lehman and I know you knew that 😉

Yeah he had that roy keane mentality almost! And you're right about the Boro I had a brainlapse and didn't clock it wasn't lehmann 🤦‍♂️ Well you're the only one who noticed so maybe I got away with it 😉

His best season was probably the Invincibles season. He was a leader at the back and made some very very important saves at pivotal times. His confidence in his own ability was right up there with the best. One of the best I've seen in my time supporting Arsenal. However he isn't up there with the likes of Seaman. As the video states, he was always a little bit mad! Lens always had the odd mistake in him, wasn't comfortable on the ball -whenever he had the ball at his feet I had my hands over my eyes. He also let his competitive nature get the best of him sometimes when opposition players would wind him up. But he had a winners mentality, the same kind of attitude as Sol, Vieira, Keown, Henry, Bergkamp and you knew he would give you 100 percent every match.

Seaman had howlers as well WC 2002, Nayim the majority of the 2002-2003 season etc

@@LARK-ht7kd Exactly i think alot of people seem to have rose tinted glasses when it comes to Seaman he made helluva lot of mistakes. The defense made him look better then what he is.

I'm not saying Seaman didnt make mistakes ( every player does ) but in comparison to a way less frequency than Lehmann and the Keepers that joined Arsenal after them both. Seaman had close to 570 appearances for Arsenal so over such a long period he would have made more than his share of mistakes. But he was a way more consistent Keeper and one of the best we have had in English football over the past 30+ years. You only have to listen to the high regard some of the ex players had for him and his ability.

@@gladiatorscoops4907 Incredibly overrated he was full of howlers but that gets brushed aside cause he had great back four behind him to bail him out. Schmeichel was billion times better. Jens took Arsenal to a champions league final, during Seaman 13 years at the club has he ever done that ???

Yeah Seaman was better. Always calm despite being prone to errors in big games. And he won more than Jens playing for us far longer. Jens was way more entertaining though, always loved his antics and winners mentality. He was also a brilliant shot stopper.

Good keeper but I do think he cost us in the UCL that year. Made mistakes both legs against Chelsea. Made a few mistakes in the UCL the following year too

Yeah he was frustrating that season to be fair. Pulled off some game-winning level saves in some games, and then made mistakes in others. the UCL games vs chelsea were such a shame
