this is the first time I looked for it but you're right. You can absolutely see the flip. I'm also a dancer (and a new stay) once I saw these clips of the collapsing I went back to rewatch the performance. It's no wonder this happened! That was an INTENSE 10 minute performance across 2 main stages and 2 supplementary stages. Even with the "break" for the cinematic with Hyunjin and Felix that was really only time for position changes and Felix getting into the prop. They performed for 10 minutes without stopping and CAME OUT sweating. This was NOT a forgiving performance for them. It was AMAZING! but it gave them very little breathing room. The adrenaline helped pull them through but the crash from something like this hits hard and fast! I think I saw a comment somewhere that I.N. isn't the only one to collapse after either (my brain is saying it was Hyunjin but I'm not sure)

I wish they prioritized their health above all else. I'm a professional singer, a former black belt, and a dancer, and I can absolutely see that "oh shit" moment when his body takes over and he realizes how badly he overdid it. As entertainers, we are trained and expected to prioritize the performance before ourselves, and that's such backwards thinking. If we don't take care of ourselves, there IS no performance. Poor Jeongin.

@@ashleytrout7452they are not being rude. Everyone is making this about Chan, and yes he is a wonderful leader but people is dismissing the fact that jeongin was the one who collapsed. Instead of pointing on how Chan is a good leader( which we all know and is true) point out how jeongin is overworked and needs rest. Not everything is about one person. Focus on other people too.

@nicole Yes. I think that Chan did what he had to do because that's what had to be done. It isn't necessarily because of leadership only, anyone would've done it, if they were quick to react. I also think that he's a caring person.

You can say Chan is a good leader but the main point should be about IN. Don’t get mad at start cussing at me when I was calm thjs whole time. The small amount of food they consume is also a factor. “Fans” call idols out for “being fat” which they are the farthest thing from, and don’t realize what they do eat is burned with all those hours of practice and rehearsal and working out to keep fit, and they go on more-insane-than-usual diets during tours, some don’t eat at all.

I think it's more that he knows his members and he knows generally speaking that there is always the possibility of someone fainting. I think he saw that IN was breathing harder than normal and saw him struggling so he was "better keep an eye on him".

As a dancer of 21 years, collapsing isn't something that should happen often but also not completely unexpected or even really surprising after a performance of this callibar. This was a 10 minute non-stop singing and dancing performance in front of over 70,000 people. The time that the cinematic of Hyunjin and Felix was transition time not a break. They were on the front stage when it started but at the back stage when they resumed live. That cinematic allowed them to switch stages. set the prop with Felix inside, and set their places for the rest of the dance. Plus, it may not look it but those stages are MASSIVE and there are 4 of them (2 main, 2 supplementary). The hardest part of any performance is catching your breath AFTER because the adrenaline is wearing off, you're suddenly consciously aware of it, and you have to think about the "proper" way to breathe. When you perform you kind of go on auto-pilot and many performers that I know phrase it like we sort of "black out" so we don't always realize how hard we are working until the end. This collapse, while unfortunate, is not surprising.

I agree with you they don’t get enough rest as the company is working them to hard they need a break now also they do eat if they didn’t they would end up Sick none of us wants that too happen we all want want the member’s to be healthy . Plus it’s colder now it’s nearly winter and that’s important there health comes first.

@@OutrageousOpulence I know they eat but as trainees alot of food items and what not had to be worked for because it was luxury items or something. In their fandom tour they said theyd go to eat and would always try to make the best out of a few dollars. And Chan in his lives has said they are always skipping meals due to the amount of work theyre always doing🥺💜

As an athlete myself I can tell you right now that if they weren’t eating enough they all would’ve collapsed half way through this performance. Not to mention their muscle tone; no one who doesn’t eat is gonna have muscles like that. I understand your concern but don’t spread false rumors based on what you THINK is happening. That’s toxic.

He is such an incredible leader and takes such good care of his members. You're right, both he and RM are equal caliber of leaders.

They can’t just reschedule every time they get tired. They already had to reschedule 3 events that are coming up in the next few months and basically what you’re asking is for them to reschedule AGAIN. It kinda defeats the whole purpose of rescheduling if they just keep doing it. As an athlete I can assure you that 1 performance like this is not gonna require a completely rearranged schedule and a long ass break. Literally just 24 hours does the trick for 99% of people so don’t worry they’re fine.

THANK YOU?? Hardly anyone talks about Jeongin and his skills and dedication 😭 even under this video! I love Chan and he is an amazing leader. Bless him for watching over jeongin and catching him when the lights go out. But there’s not enough appreciation for jeongin’s efforts imo. Recognize that he may not be the best dancer but he’s still a great one. He keeps up with the rest of the group and is just as fierce, EVEN HERE where he’s malnourished and exhausted. A professional through and through.

exactly, and it’s actually horrifying. i used to struggle with an eating disorder and would have three very small meals a day; just doing something like pilates after this was hellish and my body would often give way. now, the boys have said that they often skip meals all together, using my own experience as a foundation, i cannot even begin to imagine the quite literal torture their bodies are being put through after this; no fuel and vigorous movement literally erodes the body. i do believe idols have good intentions, skz included, but it makes me sick to my stomach when they tell their fans to eat well when they haven’t eaten anything all day. talk of intense restriction is so casual and ingrained into their conversations and it really irritates me, especially considering that they are very aware of the age of the majority of their audience and how impressionable/vulnerable they are.

@@selenajade yeah, the company owns them when young once contracts are signed. A breach of contract is something most people can't afford. They live with very few comforts. Speaking as a parent, i certainly would take exception to my child's growth being stunted by starvation.

@@foggylegg6362 I didn't even think about the contract breaching point. starving, performing, live streaming, vlogging, doing interviews, producing music, going on shows and filming their own shows - I can't comprehend how human beings, let alone such young ones, are able to physically do all of those things at more or less the same time. I don't want to jump on the bandwagon of villainizing the industry, but I have never been able to buy into the fact that a company and its ceo has the friendly, intimate relationship with its idols that they portray; it's just not how businesses work. I think that's what a lot of fans forget, this is ultimately a company.
