광주미디어아트플랫폼(G.MAP)은 기획초대전으로 [정정주 : Luminous City]전을 개최합니다. 이번 전시는 2005년 광주신세계갤러리 전시 이후, 광주에서 19년 만에 열리는 작가의 개인전으로 공간 구조와 빛, 시선의 상호작용을 내용으로, 시선의 힘을 전복하고 심리적 관계를 재구성하는 데 중점을 둔 미디어 설치 작품들을 선보입니다. 경험과 환영으로서의 빛을 선보이며, 감상자의 감각체험이 전부가 아닌 장소와 빛, 시선 등 작품의 개별 요소들을 통해, 작업의 열린 해석을 지향하는 정정주의 이번 초대전에 많은 관심 기울여주시길 바랍니다.

Gwangju Media Art Platform(G.MAP) hosts an invitation exhibition, ‘Jeong JeongJu: Luminous City’. This marks the artist's first solo exhibition in Gwangju in 19 years, since previous exhbition at Gwangju Shinsegae Gallery in 2005. The exhibition features media installation artworks which focuse on interaction between the spatial structure, light and gaze, overtrunting the power of gaze and reconstructing physchological realtionships.
Presenting light as both an experience and an illusion, the exhibition invites viewers to explore an open interpretation of the artwork, emphasizing not only the sensory experiecnces of the viewers but also individual elements or the artwork such an space, light, and gaze.
