@@missmaka. out of respect of course but i think the main reason why Mina always and still call Jeongyeon unnie is more about their bond.. I think Mina ever said that (If I'm not wrong its on variety show) the reason she is never call Jeongyeon by her name (even thou they actually on the same age in korea) is because Mina get use to look Jeongyeon as Unnie, as member claim, Mina use to try to address Jeongyeon by her name just like the others member but it ain't last long and Mina back to call Jeongyeon as Unnie.. Jeongyeon too use to urge Mina to call her by just her name not Unnie, but i think Jeongyeon grow a soft spot to Mina so she let Mina call her as Unnie.. another thing is, i think i've ever heard that Mina said she always wants an Unnie that she can depend on, sure there is our lovely madeonni Nayeon who her shoulder always ready for any member who needs it, but Jeongyeon really cares about others that she never hesitate to nagging others even for the small things. Mina ever said that Jeongyeon nagging too much but she kinds of like it since it will keep her organize.

​@@U_Dhee I understand the feeling of wanting an older sister figure so much. I am the eldest kid in the family so I always have to look out for my siblings and cousins. I kinda liked it at first because I viewed my age as an advantage I had over the younger ones in my family but also somewhat of a burden since I get tired taking care of them too. I wondered what it would feel like to have an older sister look out for you but it's not like I was desperate for one, I was happy with my life. So when I was in high school and I was introduced to and befriended a senior older than me by two years, I found I actually loved having someone I can finally call "manang" (term from my Filipino dialect for older females). My personality is different towards her too like you wouldn't think I was actually an elder sibling because I loved being babied by her. I've had friends older than me by a year or even a grade higher than me but I never refer to them as elders. You might think it was disrespectful but they were my friend group and I was close to them and I hung out all the time with them that I saw them as my equals (like how Jihyo doesn't refer to Jeongyeon, Momo, and Sana as "unnies").

But jeongyeon literally in sixteen she did not stood out 0:24 and made her cry 1:12 , she wouldn't have cried if there wasn't like this thing with jeongyeon and her, let's be honest no matter how much they have a bond, that comment must have hurt her and probably stills hurts remembering since they developed a friendship later, it's not like they are not allowed to be human or feel some things or be always close cause they're twice.

@@moonlightespt3818 Sixteen was a competition and Jeongyeon is known to be blunt. She wasn't the only who said something about other contestants either. Mina proved her wrong and I'm sure she regrets saying that. And aren't people allowed to change? It's not like Jeongyeon does that until now. If Mina still had hard feelings over a comment she said when they weren't friends yet, they wouldn't be able to develop a close relationship in the first place.

Last night I discovered a channel where the girl who runs it researches and goes into depth about K-Pop groups and the industry. One of her videos was about how most Korean Idols aren't friends but must play it up for the cameras. While I'm certain that not _everyone_ in Twice are BFF's with each other, they seem to get along as a group better than most even off the clock and some are obviously good friends -- e.g. Jeongyeon & Mina, Nayeon & Momo. And yes, JYP deciding to pull rank and bring Momo back for Twice is one of the best decisions ever made in the history of pop music. _He_ saw what those ugly judges and the guys who voted her off the show didn't. He took a chance on Tzuyu which paid off -- she's beyond gorgeous but I hope people will respect her for her genuine talents.

I definitely agree with this. I had a thought not too long ago and it seems that with some of these rookie groups as well as groups that contain many members you can literally see or feel the competition among them which doesn't make them enjoyable to watch. But, with twice I have never seen or felt that once because they are truly a family. And when you're pure at heart, good things will come to you. I do feel that some groups should work on that just so their chemistry can come off undeniable.

@@Hi-lz1ht Some members of BTS are known to dislike each other (don't know who b/c I don't follow them). They can still work together despite that. JYPE's previous girl-groups, e.g. Miss A, fell apart due to one member being promoted over the others. Fear of that happening again may be why the company refuses to let Jeongyeon take acting roles.

I really appreciate when Idols are allowed to admit they didn't get along. Even more if they can admit they still don't (unlike BTS, some of whom openly dislike each other but can still work, Twice seem to mostly get along very well). They are people with wildly different personalities and backgrounds, and this is their job. Maybe it's because I'm not Korean -- standards there are whacked -- but I appreciate Twice's extra bits of authenticity too. Feels less fake. 👍

@@sucrose6047 I don’t think they ever disliked each other but Taehyung and Suga used to have a very strained relationship I believe. They’re personalities are so drastic they probably didn’t mesh well at the beginning. But after all these years they’re super close.

@@Soufriere84 Well the survival show where Twice was formed was called "SIXTEEN". And 15 + 1 = 16 sooo yeah And if you happen to know TooGrown (Kpop Reactor), he was addressing the show SIXTEEN as "15+1" for some reason, so maybe he/she got it from him.

It surprises me that most of the members of twice are introverts, I think that's why the girls of twice get along, people with introverted personalities tend to be more aware of the emotions of other people, they also tend to value friendships and relationships more relationships with another person, friendships between introverts tend to last longer

I don’t mind Tzuyu being the only visual (she does deserve it). Tzuyu’s beauty matches a lot of people’s standard. Mina, on the other hand, will not catch people’s attention in the first glimpse. Only the very keen eyes can catch her beauty. You see, Mina doesn’t even enter any beauty ranking list like TC Chandler. But it’s okay, because for me, she’s the most beautiful girl on earth.

I mean Mina fans are not as reactive as Sana or Tzuyu fans. So Mina's visuals are less talked about. But Twice members who see Mina in person often say that Mina is very beautiful. @@hveamvilov9403 : I’m a hardcore Mina bias. Everything you said is true. I’m shy and introvert, and I relate to Mina so much. We appreciate her beauty but don’t talk often about it. And not many Onces know that she’s a main dancer. She’s athletic and has a great body too (she got AOTY and SOTY, if you know what I mean), but still, no one talks about it outside the group. She’s a hidden gem, indeed.

Also, in their ranking one person ranks higher than another in a year but then lower than the same person the next year ...which doesn't make sense unless their face changes each year 😂 And although Mina has a lot of fans i don't think she is known with the general public nor was/is she ever promoted by JYPE in that sense (like she was rarely sent to any kind of programs/solo schedules compared to other members). But if we're just purely talking about visuals/face, without a doubt most people find Mina very beautiful

Chaeryoung was born in June 2001, so yeah, she was 13 when Sixteen started and turned 14 during the show. (Tzuyu, also a June baby, was 15 when Sixteen began but had turned 16 by its end) Chaeryoung, now 20, was only the second-youngest competitor on Sixteen. Youngest was Natty, who was 12/13.
