Thank God! We Don't have to wait for heaven. We are completed and whole in the heavenlies. Abide there.

The good things were already given at salvation. Justification, sanctification and glorification are already ours. Abide in Christ''s righteousness.

Anything besides Christ that we want is an idol. Abide in your home in heaven not in your house on earth.

This is without doubt the best and deep explanation of this situation that have ever heard, can't wait to share it, it is so good.

Lovely, Ben, only resting in our union, brings real service, not "do-gooding".

This was helpful as far as understanding that difficult account. But the application/end was not. Faithful Christians WANT God's will. Of course we do! But God does not write His will in the sky. How do we make a decision in God's will, when we don't know what that is? In this message, he never gave the ending of how they decided on their house! He gave the example of the house that they wished for, that they hoped was God's will. They couldn't afford that one, so they knew it wasn't God's will. How did they finally decide? We're told to follow God's plan, not ours. This is what faithful Christians want. But in so many situations, we just don't know what God's will is.

Know your flesh. Don't make a vow.

Acts 12:15 doesn't seem to follow the woman + door = pregnancy motif, though I do find your argument that sacrifice = dedication to temple/tabernacle service persuasive.
