Cynthia Erivo is one of the greatest singers in the world out there today. Saw her sing live twice. She could have overpowered and outshined him, but she gave him the stage and helped make him look great in the duet. She is a 100% class act all the way. So gracious.

BTassie Time After Time isn’t a power ballad. I think Jeremiah and Cynthia got it right as a duet, especially when you consider Jeremiah’s vocal range is even higher than Cynthia’s which is astonishing when you think about it. I look forward to see whet Jeremiah does now in the voting rounds.

Agreed...anyone who has ever seen her perform was even projecting her voice over this song, but she just stayed true to honoring the beauty of the duet, the joy of making music with another beautiful soul, within the first phrase she opened her arms and smiled, there is just no questioning her love for singing and her appreciation for creating art with others. She honored him, and I would have never chosen anyone better than her to sing with. She showed the audience her ability with that short run at the beginning, but then just worked magic with Jeremiah. So good,

@JagBrit I believe they are BOTH very powerful voices. The whole point of having the contestants perform a duo is to see if they can be professional. If they can share the stage with someone else. Jeremiah has a huge range and talent. Yes, he's damn lucky to have the chance to sing with Cynthia Erivo and she was the ultimate professional who allowed him to shine. No doubt about that. He has a talent that is great though. He was also a professional and did not try to outshine the established star. He has humility and that showed.

Cynthia Erivo held back. She could have blown him off the stage and her confidence and talent...OMG. She is so amazing. She totally let him shine, and it made the performance beautiful.

In this case it was about management and what direction Perry chose to go, not a talent based hierarchy. Otherwise, I'd agree. Cynthia definitely is the superior talent.

@@GChannelist Yes I agree, and also depending on your preferred Genre'. I listen to most music but primarily R&B, Hip Hop and of course Reggae if I'm dancing. But I also love Christian, hard rock, and of course the 80's pop(my Fav.). The main thing though is that the winner will be picked by the primary viewer...the teenage girl. Which means that it'll likely be Alejandro.
