at what point does it stop becoming snowboarding and start becoming "just making it down the mountain with a snowboard strapped to your feet"?

Ya the pic makes it look like he is going down a bit to a starting point but then I watched the video and he doesn't really board down he just walks down with a board on his feet, really thought this was going to be like Terje first decent and it was nothing like that, IMHO Terje first decent was much better ride because he in fact snowboards down a mountain its amazing.

That whole thing was really strange to watch… And that’s taking NOTHING away from J Jones. Legend !! I still love watching old videos of him in AK and Jackson. But as far as this goes, I’d rather watch Xavier riding 4000 meter faces in the Alps.

Agree... I've skied for more than 20 years and spent quite a bit of time in the back country and would definitely love to see the actual footage. for example how did you make that turn from the top to get in or were you just airborne to get in?
@mpreiss7780

@@matthewhayosh9110 If you look carefully you can see where he entered, I am assuming he had at least 1 ice tool in hand but maybe had 2? (possibly with crampons and the board on his back?) looks steep enough for a rappel!!! crazy steep

im from south Australia 800kms from the nearest mountain and all day all night I dream of the mountains. I've just bought a jones mountain twin 2015 board so sick and moving to Canada at the end of this year. your life is what you make of it and im so proud Jeremy jones had the opportunity to for fill his dreams and passion as his career. retiring Jeremy can still make snowboarding his career by his brand jones which has built an incredibly high regard and reputation already. im inspired by Jeremy jones. if I didn't grow up so far away I would have snowboarded till I died snowboarding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is sick. Jeremy soak up these moments while your still fit enough to pursue snowboarding!!!

I'm so glad you bro's have enough money to travel (and get paid) to the holy land to drop a sick line. I'm sorry but I am the original jaded local and am completely burnt out on super bro's (while i do agree jones is an amazing rider) going on and on about how bro they are. It's not the riders and athletes I cannot stand, it's the media really, the constant coverage and articles about how sick it is to go risk one's life for the pursuit of adrenaline. What is the real purpose of going and riding a line like that? To have fun? I hope so. Because if not why are there not more articles about how close so many heroin addicts have come to death? (same thing different medium)
