Jeremy Jordan & Laura Michelle Kelly - "What You Mean To Me" (from 'Finding Neverland')

On November 12, 2014, Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan invited his 'Finding Neverland' co-star, Olivier Award winner Laura Michelle Kelly, to join him on-stage during the run of his debut solo show, "Breaking Character," at Feinstein's/54 Below.
The two sing "What You Mean To Me," a song the two had originated together in the American Repertory Theater production of "Finding Neverland" in Cambridge, MA during the summer of 2014. "What You Mean To Me" features music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy, and the orchestration in this recording is by Benjamin Rauhala. The song would eventually be rewritten and reworked for Broadway, but here it is presented in its original form.
The band is led by music director Benjamin Rauhala, and features Justin Goldner on guitar, Charlie Rosen on bass, Shannon Ford on drums, and Alisa Horn on the cello.

I really don’t understand why he keeps being asked to do these roles but they don’t end up going with him for Broadway or for greatest showmen. He’s so incredibly talented I don’t get it

It’s because Matthew was a big name in Glee and Hugh Jackman Wolverine etc, it’s such a shame as Jeremy is far better than them both.

I am very disappointed that Jeremy was not in the Broadway version cuz he is just amazing in this role. I hope to see him in an amzing production soon!

Jeremy Jordan makes an amazing romantic lead with his gorgeous vocals and amazing acting skills. Laura Michelle Kelly's voice is gorgeous too.

it's amazing how Jeremy manages to make his co-stars shine in their performances. Laura is wonderful but the way Jeremy sings makes the music and her voice even more beautiful. In addition to feeling the total freedom and comfort of your partners in voicing your voice at your side

My all time favorite role of his. The A.R.T version of Finding Neverland was something special. So sad they made so many changes for Broadway.

I agree! The Broadway version was my introduction to musical theater which is what I want to do with my life now, but I think it would have been better with Jeremy.

Mine too. I was completely devastated to learn that Jeremy wasn't asked to go to Broadway. It was not the same show on that NY stage. When Jeremy and Laura performed at the A.R.T...there was this gorgeous chemistry. I agree with some of these comments that Jeremy is incredibly gifted, he really could have chemistry with anyone, anything. But the truth is, the Broadway show was s u c h a disappointment. I immediately regretted going to see that show. I must've watched the show at the A.R.T minimum 6 times. I would've gone to see more but the show sold out in a matter of days. Jeremy Jordan is an undeniably beautiful soul and deeply gifted. I too do not understand why he keeps getting offered to do some of these amazing roles and then....they just diss him by not keeping him on the project. It's such a loss for both the project and audiences around the world who know that Jeremy is an unparalleled artist. He deserves so much more than what he's been given. Much love and light to Jeremy, will always be one of his biggest fans

Ok I literally LOVED jj as this role and I didn’t know until now that he didn’t leave the production on his own. HE WAS AMAZING OMG WHY??????? WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU NOT WANT HIM TO CONTINUE!!!!! Matthew was good in the role as well don’t get me wrong, but Jeremy had me crying, and his acting was phenomenal. He should have continued.

Is there an album of Jeremy's version of Finding Neverland songs? I think the world needs some more of him. And the Death Note the Musical Demo should be made available! It's fairly niche, but it's such an amazing soundtrack. Thank you, Ben, for sharing these videos :)
