Enjoying your videos. Those Wright guitars look nice. I’ve got a Taylor 324ce that I love. I bought it off an old-timer who couldn’t play anymore. Told him if he ever got the itch to try to play again he could drop by and pick it up. First American-made guitar I’ve owned.

Well, my guitar collection includes my old faithful, a Sigma GCS-6, the old made in Japan form. It's the first steel string guitar, in fact the first guitar I ever owned, and I still love it today, after learning the very basics on some closet classical guitars when I worked for a ministry in Wichita. That Sigma actually came from a Pawn shop there. My other absolute favorite is my mid-70's Guild Jumbo body 12 string. It's been gone through and it just plays and sounds so incredible. I put a K&K in it and it's the one I play most of the time at church. It's a Salvation Army Thrift store find. I've got one of the Martin High pressure laminate guitars. It's nice and sounds good. But I've never been quite there with it. I still like it, but it's one I would have no problem getting rid of, unlike the prior two. I've got an Ibanez AES-20, with a diamond shape sound hole. It plays incredible, and sounds great amplified. It's small bodied, so the acoustic sound isn't quite as good. I got it off Amazon used, and got a better model than I ordered, after my Charvel acoustic electric disappeared at church. It was a tight time financially, and that one came inexpensive and I've got a lot of good playing out of it. I've got a Schecter acoustic that I intend to find a new home, but it's been a bit of a rebuild project. I've got a cheap Rogue bass, and a very inexpensive Ibanez electric. Both OK, both could find new homes without a second thought. And I've got an Epiphone ES-350, which is nice, slight finish crack at the neck headstock, which is what made it cheaper. Then I've built a couple of kit guitars, and I built a body to copy an acoustasonic, and I'm currently working on another body now that kind of copies a Kiesel acoustic. It won't be the same, but I'm curious how it'll turn out, hopefully good. But the two I'll likely never let go of is the Sigma and the Guild. This guitar in your video is beautiful. I have a couple of Mandolins (Big Muddy/Mid-Missouri from around Columbia Missouri), and one of them is maple with spruce top. It projects incredibly well. The other is all mahogany, and it's got such a sublety to it's sound that it still just sings. So that's basically my collection.

I've been playing for most of my life but when I use the term "guitar collection" my wife gets this nervous twitch so I try not to talk of it. My main two guitars are a 2006 Larrivee OM-03R and a 2009 Martin D-16GT. The Larrivee was a crowd funded gift from online guitar addiction support group. I'm partly kidding here but Larrivee is what I'd call my "goldilocks" guitar because it felt and sounded "just right" when I first played one. The Martin I bought with money gifted from my wife for that very purpose and cost all of $950. I put a K&K Pure Western Mini in the Larrivee and a JJB-330 in the Martin. I used to play in church and plugged them into the only amp I own: a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Surprisingly I payed for a decade without being excommunicated by the congregation. Ironically, the K&K is "hotter" and the dread sounds better when mic'd, but I attribute that to different tone woods and bracing patterns. Each guitar has its own "voice" with the Larrivee liking to be capo'd and played with bare fingers, while the Martin likes to fill up the room when strummed with a pick.

Hey, Jeremy ~ really enjoyed your playing and your enthusiasm for this Wright guitar! it is a beauty, and quite unusual looking. And it sounds great! My story is that twenty years ago I decided that life was too short to not have a really good guitar, so I went to Guitar Resurrection here in Austin. I wasn't looking for any particular brand; I was just looking for the best guitar I could find, and I was willing to pay whatever it took. I tried out a bunch of different guitars, but then I got my hands on a brand new 2002 Santa Cruz D/PW (Indian rosewood). That SC was priced at $1995 (they're a good bit more expensive now) and I couldn't put it down. It still rings my bells every single time I pick it up. Since then I've sort of wound up with three more Santa Cruz guitars, and they keep me busy and interested! The second one that I ended up with was a 1995 12-fret dreadnought with a wide neck and a slot-headstock, Norman Blake style. That one I bought on eBay, which I know is maybe a little risky, but I just had a good feeling, and it worked out great. I got it for a great price, and it showed up well packed and just right. It kills. That guitar has just about the biggest, best tone I've ever heard. Then a few years later I saw that somebody here locally was selling a 2010 mahogany Santa Cruz D/PW in mint condition, with a deluxe Santa Cruz case, and it seemed like another good deal so I went for that one. Same exact model as the rosewood one; they're like siblings! The same, but different, you know? My latest addition to the herd is a 1997 Santa Cruz OM with a Brazilian overlay, a 1928 Style fingerboard inlay and a Dalmatian pickguard. Beautiful guitar, a real joy to play, and the OM body is a nice change of pace from the dreadnoughts and the big (big!) body of that 12-fret D. I got that one from a good friend on a trade for an absolutely terrific mahogany 1940 Martin 0-18, and I have no regrets. Obviously I'm a total fan of Richard Hoover's Santa Cruz guitars. They're light, super playable and they all have tone that won't quit. But I don't think there is such a thing as a "best" guitar brand; there are so many great luthiers. I'm sure I'm not the only guitar player who's just grateful as hell that they're out there doing what they do.

Jeremy- so true about a guitar collection. I realized recently I kept gravitating to a similar sound when buying different all mahogany guitars. I love the warmth. But why have 5 Martin all mahogany guitars. Which do I play? I have two I play all the time so, selling two others and focus on the other guitars, such as my Breedlove Oregon series or Legacy series which give amazing highs and midrange and fill the different needs you describe. Great video!!! Thank you

Sorry forgot to add... a couple of Yamahas - LS6 and LL16M are my mains in praise band. I also an old 1959 Martin 0-15 that was passed to me when my step-mom passed. She always played folk genre songs. I play a heavy strum style(growing up on bluegrass) so I'm out of my league doing some extremely simple finger style original tunes on the old mahogany. I love it cause it's a piece of family in really great condition. But ya, that's my wild card as it makes "my" music sound very different. Anyway, that's me... not very far into the wild but ya I wanted to share cause I really get a lot from your videos and appreciate you Jeremy.

I love the sound of that Nathan Wright J35 Jeremy👌 As for my Collection, my live gigging guitar is a 2019 Gibson J15, which rewards the listener more than the player, if that makes sense. My go to guitar is a 1994 Gibson J100xtra, which I love. My Old faithful is a 1980 Daion 78 Heritage, that is precious to me. I have recently been loaned a 2017 Faith Neptune Blood Moon guitar, which is very much a wild card, warm toned with a lovely neck profile and nice medium jumbo frets. I also have a 2008 Stanford Performer PSOM 10CE, Cedar/Mahogany, which is very versatile and I should use a lot more.

After playing guitar for 50 years I now have arthritis in my hands- especially the left thumb joint, which led me to trading for and purchasing some short scale guitars this year. I bought a new Gibson J45 cherry top, and a short scale Furch OM-SR sunburst, to go along with my 2011 Stonebridge G22-CR that I bought new in 2012. I also traded a 2001 Goodall Standard for a used 2021 Bourgeois 000 Country Boy a few months ago, and then bought another Bourgeois- a 00 Hogtop new. Yeah, I kinda went guitar crazy this year. :)

It looked very strange without a pickguard, it didn't look "Wright." I'll be here all day folks. Hoping to get my wildcard in an Emerald Amicus if all goes well.

Not a bad overall good guitar. However, I prefer the sound of a Taylor. There is a guitar that vibes with each person in a different way. Try many out & you will know when you find the right ones.

I play often a martin d16 but then last weekend I played a guild..do not know the model. And I must say that I got pleasently surprised that this 1/3 the martin price guitar blew the martin out of the water...on all aspects. volume, playabillity, sound, built...finish details...Probably a fluke guitar...I was flabbergasted.

Hey everyone, that headstock my not be for everyone, I get it. Just so you know, it's a nod to the Legendary Wayne Henderson. If you know who that is, maybe you can appreciate that. If you don't know who that is, I'd invite you to look him up. He's awesome.

Wow. Attractive guitar. Nashville is great. Forget the bars on Broadway. Head the the basement and basement east for genuine music. That guitar sounds great. Very high gloss. Would that dampen the sound? That guitar has a great full sounding high end. Enjoy it. Try to not sell it if you can.

Personally I don’t like that style of pick guard, and really would prefer not to have a pick guard they sound better with out those things, a thin clear pick guard would be best in my opinion like Larrivee used to do. I have yet to scar a top of bare guitar…
