Omg! I found this place for the first time a few weeks ago and talked to him for a while, I couldn’t walk away lol. We talked guitars, drums, watches lol. Really good dude and surprised I have never seen this video! Been binge watching your videos for a while now. I’m also on the northshore, just further north. LA/MS line area. Love seeing vids from this shop! That Martin is like wow! I'd love to see close ups of that saddle as it is now and see how it gets restored to pitch perfect. Amazing find! Saddles usually get grooves at some point. My TUSQ saddles are starting to show grooves -- but how much is too much? Like what's normal looking vs. not? And then how does one restore the break angle at home? This guitar could be a great educational opportunity to show people what to watch for and when to fix it because our ears often don't hear it when we play our own guitars daily. Learning to use our eyes when inspecting instruments is an important skill!

As a mandolin player, I’ve never cared much for the 1970s Gibson F5s. They used way too much finish which resulted in extremely thin tone. The best one I ever played had the finish completely stripped off. The sound of that mandolin was incredible!

The bridge on the F5 looks to be positioned to far away from the neck. That could be effecting the intonation.

The early Martin D35s, that couple years up until '69 and just a couple in '70, are some of the best sounding and playing Martins, dreadnoughts and acoustic guitars ever built. I had a prewar hd28 that someone sold for 800 one day when I was out running errands 🤮🤬. I spent years searching for a guitar who's sound was comparable to that prewar to my ears and that I connected with and several years of strumming every acoustic I found for sale I found a 1967 D35. I installed an Lr Bags Anthem SL. It has ended many guitar arguments and had many sound guys and musicians asking to use it in studios. They are phenomenal. The only other guitar I have found that is equal sounding, maybe better and has better construction, weighs less, and had better quality workmanship was a dreadnought built by Bob Thompson Guitars out of West Virginia. He uses Carbon fiber In his bracing or for the bracing, torrifies the tops and just does phenomenal work. They feel lighter than the competition and look better too. For real they are the best that I have ever seen and heard.

Bought a 2019 D35 Reimagined sunburst last year……superior all round than this one and listened to the vid thro a high end speaker system. Not all vintage guitars are great.

It's not worth no six thousand dollars to me,It's loud but loud don't necessarily sound good ,My 1980 D-28 is one of the best and easy playing Martin guitar I've ever had and I've had twelve or thirteen different Martins, Martin is a name that a lot of times your buying, There are really great sounding and playability Martin guitars but you got to hunt them down.I once was a only Martin guitar guy but I've found there's much better guitars out there.

That's why nearly all gas stations, restaurants, and other types of stores in the southern and Midwestern states usually have signs that say, "No shirts, no shoes? No service!" They'll kick ya outta there if you're not wearing proper attire! My mom took us on lots of cross country road trips, so it's funny to see where those signs tend to stop and begin being seen in the entire US, 😂. When you're the boss, though, you make the rules! Question is, are other people allowed to come in a buy their guitars without shoes? and does the shirt rule apply? 😉😂

The socks and shoes spin is definitely a democratic thing. Lies. It is healthier for the human body not to wear them constantly. The store is incredible. Hopefully I get there one day and I have lots of money.
