Dont use those pliers to pick up pike, it will damage his jaw and alot of pike die from it.

The reason the jerkbait probably worked so well is bc it’s a slower bait and the water is cold crankbaits are a little fast for early spring and spinnerbaits might be too flashy jeekbait is what I’ve been using for some nice poke

A net would be more efficient and safer for the fish and the angler. However, some pretty nice fish!

What leader do you use for jerkbaits without ruining the action ?

@@mattfuller5349 yeah... but many of my good jerkbaits are like 30$... so dont want a pike to cut my line so what leader would you use if you had to use one ?

I love pike fishing, i only use spinnerbaits. Will have to try a jerkbait, what color would you recommend for lightly stained water.. should i just match my spinnerbait colors?

If you are having a good success with the spinnerbait colours then definitely stick with those colours. I try to match what the pike are feeding on. For me its perch, shiner minnows and walleye. Jerkbaits are amazing in the spring especially!

anything bass colored or something kinda like bait fish also fire tiger works pretty good that’s what i get lots of my pike on.
