it does make a bit of sense. having a minor distraction can help you get out of yourself. its like an anti-choke. you're still focused enough to perform the task, but youre not overthinking it to the point of error.

I revisit this moment frequently because of how impossibly perfect it is. I'm convinced that this was an event of cosmic importance considering just how perfectly the timing lines up with every moment: 3:03 "So sit back... get ready... here it comes..." As the boss is sprinting to attack Jerma. And as soon as the sentence finishes the fight begins, and then so does the encouragement and applause. 4:30 The applause dies down, and Jerma questions his ability to defeat the boss 4:55 The cutscene for the second phase of the boss fight starts right as the encouraging man begins his encouraging speech. The tone in his voice matches the tense atmosphere portrayed in the cutscene. 8:38 Once Jerma has defeated the boss the voice returns with "Congratulations..."

I refuse to believe anything less than Jerma is actually one of the best gamers ever, and any time we see him perform badly in games, it's just for a bit. this is my favorite video ever. the first time i watched this i couldn’t breathe, i could barely see through the tears, my face hurt, everything is so perfect. not exaggerating it brought me to the edge of sanity with how funny it was. will never hit as hard again but it’s the only video that can make me laugh to the point of tears every time
