I thought Spinks edged it alot if rounds were close because of inactivity & in those rounds I thought Spinks landed the more telling punches to win the rounds

Looking back, it's easy to see why Taylor had a weak reign as champion: 1) Lack of craft. He star quality and ability, but didn't master the basic craft to prolong his career 2) He always seemed to fight the wrong kind of fight. He tried to box with boxers (Hopkins, Wright, and Spinks) and tried to punch with punchers (Omua and Pavlik) and he didn't look good 3) Pressure. I think the pressure of trying to be impressive and be the great Middleweight got to him and mentally he started collapsing

From What I can See, Jermaine Taylor Is a Good Boxer that wasnt a Good Fighter. Spinks Cant Hurt Him, He Knows Spinks Can't Hurt Him and I think He made the Decision, He just Wants to Get Paid, And He actually Doesn't Want to Hurt Spinks. He doesnt want to hurt the Guy Infront Of Him. Hes an Athlete that would've been a better football Player. He just Doesn't Have a Killer Instinct. Hes Like fuck it this guy cant hurt me, and I dont feel like fucking him up, lets just get paid.

@@Jumpman90 Taylor had a great defense and was a skilled counter puncher. McClellan was a swarmer who left himself open to counterpunching. I'd give it to Taylor.

Spinks didn't lose. Never shaken, boxing a circles around Taylor. Yeah he didn't win but i can't see it a loss loss for him. He was the guy from 147 being knocked out by little Zab and Taylor with all his size and punching power did nothing to him. It was not a loss.
