It’s INSANE how accessible Jermaine Dupri makes himself. The man is on the level of Dr Dre, Puffy, Jay-Z and beyond, but is EVERYWHERE! This man moves around like he’s just a regular cat tryna to get out on… Respect to the legend JD! ✊🏾

ATL. Give them their respect. They helped pave the way in building generation of hip hop business ownership. Music isn't just art, it's also a business way of life as well. Dallas Austin and JD doesn't get enough credit like they should.

I’m an Old ATLien that graduated from High School with DJ Toomp and Raheem was a Senior when we were Freshmen at Therrell, long story short when Toomp was DJing at Jellybeans and making mixed tapes, we talked about the South will soon be heard! When Toomp and Raheem made the Song “Raheem The Dream”, I knew Toomp career was about to blow up and it did! Salute to all “Old ATliens! By the way that Atlanta Music Pop Up/Museum needs to be in the Atlanta Airport Atrium, it’s the truth and well put together! 💿💯🏆

Atlanta deserves ALL the props, from the early 90s to now. The city been entertaining the world, but I think currently there's too much gentrification and too much of a housing and affordability issue for rap/hip hop. The city was at it's best creatively when it was flooded with housing projects and nearly all black. The city is undergoing and evolution right now.

I thoroughly enjoy this segment and seeing all of you together to talk about the Hip Hop culture of today. Coming from an era of Run DMC LL Cool J GrandMaster Flash Whoodini Eric B & Rakim EPMD MC Shan DJ Quick and the list goes on. The Rap culture in my opinion has drastically changed because of the young artist intercepting and integrating a new sound. We need to embrace and nurture this sound but at the same time we need to coach them and train them while not stepping on their toes and allowing them room to grow into Hip Hop. Whether you're from the West Coast, East Coast, South Coast or from the Mid West Hip Hop is here to stay and there is enough room for everyone. Thank all of you for your gifts and talents in making and keeping Hip Hop alive to this very day!!

JD, Outkast, Goodie Mob, T.I, Ludacris, Usher, Xscape, Monica, Jeezy, Gucci Mane, Lil Jon, Ying Yang twins, 2chainz, and Pastor Troy are the biggest artists that took ATL to a whole other level in the game for hip hop...that kind of music and sound really changed the game....

I'm from Brooklyn but let's get it straight hip hop in its cultural form doesn't have a home New York may have been the first place to put it on display for the world but hip-hop is in US so no matter where you're from in this country or in this world you have been had hip-hop in your life before New York shine a light on what it is to be hip-hop let's not forget hip hop means knowledge movement

This was a great discussion with the Atl and NYC OG's. I got Atlanta as my 3rd greatest hip hop city of all time. NY is number 1 and LA as number 2. Atlanta has two of the highest selling hip hop and R&B acts of all time in TLC & Outkast

Why do regions outside of New York always seem to be seeking validation from other regions. Hip Hop is universal. Whoever has a place,, has a place. Hip hop is the only genre that argues and bickers over trivial matters. Everyone make your contributions and rock out, it’s a place for everybody.
