to kill by breaking a person's neck takes a lot of strength. Its not all that easy. This is one heck of a puzzler- to kill a kid over mangoes?! Disgusting.

Oh my gosh that opening clip😭I just want to hug Triesa, this is such a horrific case. RIP angel Jerobejin 💔I'm struggling to understand how on earth Daniel is not currently in prison for child murder? My heart is with the van Wyk family, I can't even imagine the pain of losing a child this way...

From what you are saying there are a lot of basic problems in that region of South Africa. South Africa has similar characteristics of all ex-plantation and ex-colonial societies. It reminds me the most of the Spanish rule in Mexico. You had Europeans in these huge beautiful haciendas with farms. The laborers were of the indigenous (Indian group) or ex slave group. They would work for the owners of thees big farms with no pay , but given produce from the farm. They became very dependent on the big land owners . The biggest problem with this sort of society is it easy for the big land owners to exploit the laborers. It seems to me that in this region of South African this is what happened. The police are a big problem. They should do their jobs and enforce the laws of the land. If one policeman had been called or was driving around and had immediately gone the scene the outcome would have been much better.

You talk bs farmworkers pay according to labourlaw. In the 70's I visited my in laws near kimberley and their workers got paid well, got meat, veggies, tobacco for free from them on top also. Dont make it a racial thing like nicole. People get tired of theft and DISRESPECT. Specialy to elders. Parents should teach their kids to be decent.

Some people are evil, all kids do what these kids did. What I do, especially when it's the season for peaches. I would get out and ask them, next time just ask and you'll get them. Though they'll recruit others the next day, I can't finish the whole tree by myself and I don't want food to rot either. That's just me, some "adults" I guess they were never young

This is a sad story man i remember when i was a kid we once stole oranges from a yard in town we also lived in the township the owner came after us in a hilux bakkie it was scary he cornered us and caught us and instead he had us clean the pool and the dogs poo we learnt a vital lesson to ask instead of taking and every year when the oranges got ripe we would go to his house after school to work and he would pay us in oranges no need kill bro rather give them the fruits and teach them how to plant their own

No excuses for what this mad man did but my thought on the matter is that people in South Africa are gatvol of theft and crime it will make anybody snap especially if you are taunted in the process and nobody else is doing something about it In this case the parents mut at least take some responsibility for their childs actions...

Thank you she makes it seems okey when they stole and had disrespect also. Parents have to teach their kids respect. And farmowners didnt pay with wine I visited my in laws many times during the 70's on their farm near kimberley and their workers got paid enough and still got meat everyday to take home plus veggies and tobacco. I saw a video where advocate Ike khumalo talked about apartheid its worth watching.

I like listening to your stories. However, sometimes you say things that just aren't true. Farmers didn't Pay their workers with alcohol. The workers got food, clothes, housing and the booze was always a bonus . These kinds of misinformation , causes more issues than good. Overall, this is a very sad ,horrible and unnecessary incident that took place. I feel terrible for the actions of people. Poor child. My heart goes out to his parents and loved ones.

My in laws had a farm durung the 70's and their workers got paid well, received meat and veg and even tobacco. And those years there was no schoolfees, only whites paid. It sounds like she finds it okey for stealing and disrespect from teenagers😡😡😡😡

At the age of 15 - even at the age of 5 - you should know right from wrong. If not, then I blame the parents for not educating their children to know the difference of being a criminal or a non-criminal (right from wrong). It starts with a mango, it ends as a career thief/gang member or a murderer. In saying that, I do not condone the murder of this child in any way, it was a horrible death and cruel what he did with the boy - i do feel the parents. However - where do we draw the line? Has petty theft now become acceptable? Do we have pity for the consequences of what happened to a thief? Are teens now entitled to steal? Go into other peoples property and disrespecting them because they are entitled? Thus making owners snap to a point where they murder thieves? In my eyes - the children who stole and the man who killed are criminals, no matter what the excuse. They all belong behind bars. Because we should stop making acceptations for petty criminals and their circumstances - this is where it starts.
