This is one of those covers (like so many done by PTX) that just crushes the original song. A lot of times covers shine become popular because they change up the song completely like making a R&B song into a Rock song or they take a Pop or Hip Hop song into a ballad. But PTX can outshine one while keeping the same melody and beat of the original song.

I just watched "On My Way Home" Tour Pentatonix, their documentary, on Netflix and going by Mitch and Kirstin's hair in this video they must have filmed this in 2015.. the same year of Their "On My Way Home" tour. Man, busy, busy year for them! Just seeing them on their first "REALLY BIG" tour in the US. it was their first after winning their first Grammy, and they were performing to sold out arenas and had a big stage production. They had never had that concert vibe before.. Mitch described their previous tours being like high school recital It was really cool. Their paths crossed with Mario José and they had him open for them! His first time ever! They were arranging music for their first self-titled album full of originals, and recording it while mobile... on tour! Ben Bram had some sort of mobile recording booth (cramped!) and I couldn't believe how hard they work! You should watch it sometime! There's footage of them young and their families, etc that is only on that documentary. You'd love it! It appears they managed to make this music video too! I don't know when, cause 7 days after tour ending.. and them home with their families, they started their European Tour! wow!

The first time I heard this I either didn't have head phones or had a really cheap pair. It was OK. For my birthday a month a go I got a studio quality pair and OH MY GOD! what a difference. This is now one of my favorites. Thanks for another great reaction.

Jerod, as usual, another great reaction!! Yes, musically, PTX just has the best dynamics! Being that there are only five of them, they really know how to make each other shine throughout ANY of their videos. Kevin, I swear, is in not human (LOL). The effects he does in their music are just unbelievable!! He is just absolutely amazing -- as they all are! PTX just ROCKS the planet!! September 1 just can't get here fast enough for me!! A Pentaholic created a "side by side" series with PTX songs and the originals playing in left ear / right ear. This is an excellent example. The original has an instrumental bridge ... PTX's new material to fill that bridge is impressive. The songs return together exactly on the beat.

You should enter in KZfaq's search bar Avi overtone singing, and watch him play 2 different songs out of his mouth at the same time!!

Did you notice Avi's lawnmower zip sound? He does it in two or three places in the song and it's just one more cool flavor adding complexity to the otherwise simple song. But everyone has a part, and everyone does it so well.
