Revisiting PlayStation 3 Minecraft legacy dition for the memories
Another year has passed and I am back on the same world I started in last year's video on PS3 Minecraft. I've made a bit of progress to my house but other than that it is unchanged. And something else which hasn't changed over the years is the amazing feeling this version of Minecraft has to it. I'm playing on the oldest title update in this video and started by exploring the TU12/TU14 tutorial world and finding a few of the hidden music discs. Then I went on a mission to tame a cat in my survival world. Playing on the first update the game had made revisiting Minecraft legacy edition even more nostalgic but for the final part of the video I wanted to check out the minigames, which meant I needed to update the game to the aquatic update. There are 3 minigames on Minecraft legacy: battle, tumble and glide. I played them all in this video and was shocked to see active lobbies as soon as I searched for a game. This was the best moment of revisiting the game for me, seeing a community of people still playing it together after 10 years of it being released. If you still play the minigames on PS3 then we might run into each other, I will probably play battle the most because I love Minecraft survival games. if you've seen me in a lobby before let me know in the comments!! We need vita Wii U and the abandoned switch version appreciation os3 was also overlooked a lot so I appreciate this as most videos about legacy are on ps4 since it got the most updates Xbox 360 because it was first and Xbox one for honestly idk even thought that was the first one I played Shout out to our brothers in the Minecraft 3ds community and in the old Java and pocket edition community we love yu!

the old crafting menu with the crafting table SUCKED compared to the modern one. You had to scroll to the thing you wanted to craft and half the time it wasnt on the screen

Skate 3 was one of those games I never had but played a ton at friends houses so that game was a big part of growing up for me too. I picked up a copy on Xbox 360 last year for the memories and was hit by a wave of nostalgia going back to the old skateparks. Thanks for subscribing btw!!!

Im turning 20 in March man 😭 how time flies by. The music in this game brings back so many memories playing with my little brother. It was a difficult time for us back then, but at the same time it was our way of escaping. Ive never been so close with my little bro since then, so I still look back at this version of the game very fondly.

I still play Minecraft legacy edtion today. I still play with my friends and play battle. This brings back so many memories. I remember watching so many youtubers and thinking the dumbest things were real when I was little. Like Herobrine, rockets, time machines, and air planes. I also remember my friend pranking me pretending to be Herobrine. I was so scared for my life.

4J Studios did something wonderful with these console ports that MCPE and Beta just can’t beat. Thankful to have a legacy switch & PS3/4 version of the game to this day.

I remember having a friend in middle school, who had a server we would constantly make pixel art on it- but I haven't talked to them in 10 years at this point, they were an online friend. So the old music makes me super nostalgic and I appreciate that, thank you.

TU14 for ever! I'm 52 now and playin' on my PC with Forge, lots of mods and shaders, but was grinning the whole time I saw the old tutorial world. This was my first ever minecraft world. My sons infected me.. I loved also the great mash-up-packs at halloween or christmas. There was a world, skins and custom music. My PS3 is still waiting in the cabinet.. maybe I'll give it a chance. Nice video, calming to watch!

I have so many memories of playing split screen ps3 minecraft tutorial worlds with my friends when my dad took me to my aunt's house when he had work. A lot of friendships were made and a lot of time during sleepover's were spent on this game. The world felt like it was truly a safe and peaceful place in the ps3/xbox 360 era.

I remember playing Legacy Edition on my PS3 with my friend and cousin SO MUCH when I was like, 7 or 8. We used to play on the tutorial world with Stampy's Lovely World in it and we would just destroy it and make a weird post apocalyptic story out of it. Same with the mash up pack worlds (like Little Big Planet, the festive world, the Skyrim world, the Mass Effect World, the Halloween world, etc.)

In the past few days I literally came back to the PS3 version. I mostly played back in 2014 when I was 9 with the disc copy and messed around in creative with a bit of survival too. I did like exploring the tutorial world and using it to see more of what the game had. As the years went on I did play less of it as I played other games as well as went to other versions of Minecraft like on my iPad and eventually Xbox One/Series X. However it’s nice to go back to the legacy console editions I have good memories of on the PS3 as well as with my uncle splitscreen on the Xbox One edition which I don’t own but he did. I just find they’re well made for the consoles, the limited world size I actually kinda like as you get to know the world and have to be mindful of not draining all the non renewable resources and the mini games are still great today, and active at least on PS3. Plus it’s kinda nice going back to the older pre revamp verisons(apart from oceans which really needed them) modernish Minecraft but still nostalgic at this point.

@@ItChannel420 I'm kinda like that now, I switched to PC last year and my Xbox One and Series X collect dust while my PC sees plenty of use. Backwards compatibility is a moot point if the PC plays that era of games natively with maxed settings at 4K the consoles never did lol. PS3 however I find still has a place.

@@JerooMinecraftnot really, mojang just didnt worked with 4j since back then, at least with helping create new Minecraft editions, because they still work with mojang by making stuff for the BE marketplace

@@JerooMinecraftMicrosoft realized they could cut costs easily by discontinuing 4J's ports of the game and just making everything run bedrock. But i wish they did the opposite... 4J working on a mobile port that would replace bedrock wouldve been spectacular.

ABOUT YOUR CAT!!!! When you tame a cat it automatically sits but since it was in the water it didn't, but it was still in sit mode so where your cat teleported too when you went away is where it will be sitting.

This was my go to version of the game as a kid. I've played this version of the game so much I completely fried my PS3's wifi chip (the chip that controls Bluetooth and Internet), and I'm surprised my pretty scratched copy of the game still works fine to this day 10 years later.

Even when my child hood consoles were the 360 and Wii u. The minecraft Mini games hold a place in my heart they were amazing i wish they were added to bedrock. NGL i was a champ a tumble and elytra race but i sucked a the battle minigame.

when i was 7, my cousin gave me his ps3 and i started my first world . Today, i am much different from when i played minecraft but i will always remember my jungle world, my village and my dog. Minecraft can be deleted, but our memories are timeless❤

I still to this day play the ps4 edition with my best friend instead of the Microsoft version. It doesn't have any of the fancy new blocks or mobs, but I just like the simplicity of it. Atleast it has the aquatic update

I've got the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions on my Steam Deck. It's weird, I've got so many games on it but around 6 or 7 are all different editions of Minecraft or are different updates. Emulating the PS3 and 360 editions are trivial and run buttery smooth (90% of the time) and after a hell of a lot of tinkering I got alpha and beta versions of Java working and after a hell of a lot of fiddling about in settings and configuring emulators you can play almost every version of Minecraft besides the XBone and PS4 versions which is still insane to me. It's just fun to revisit games from my childhood, plus I genuinely enjoy playing Java completely removed from the nostalgia.

TU 14 was the first one i remember playing, me and my brother 10 years ago i was 8 he was 5. and looking back now i miss the nostalgia and the memories ❤

I remember playing A LOT this version to a point i got almost every single achievement (from the newest version) i remember getting hella angry when i spent 1 hour mining stone to make a mob farm just for the farm to generate ZERO enemies. Last time i played i remember rage quitting because i summoned the wither and it killed me and destroyed my best enchanted diamond armor. Good memories
