Nothing today can compare to the talent these two had and displayed. One on a guitar and the other on the piano... Just amazing!

Out of all the greatest rock 'n' rollers, few if any can compare to these two. Not only are they amazing musicians, but they were great guys and good friends. Carl, may you be up there right now (with Johnny, Elvis, Roy, Eddie, Buddy, John, and George) and havin' a grand ol' time.

Yes, the million dollar quartet ALL proved to be rock idols for all the future generations to come. Long after American Idol hits the network circular file, we will still be rockin to Jerry Lee, Elvis, Cash, and Perkins. Can I hear an amen?

Amen to that! This is true to it's form original rock and roll music. Timeless songs that sound just as new and fresh as day one sung by two legendary stars of the 1950's that are pioneers of the music they created. Talk about real talent. You either have it or you don't, and these two cats were loaded with talent, they just oozed talent. Try to find talent like these two exemplified and you would be very hard pressed to find it this day and age. Jerry Lee Lewis - last man standing, RIP Carl Perkins.

IAGREED! My goal is to play my mandolin, the way these guys played. They rocked. My father told me to look him up. You just dont find rock an roll like this anymore, do you. I grew up listening to 50s rock and what was then "oldies but goodies" Not thet the bands of today dont have talant, but the put together bands of today just dont make me feel the way these guys do. So I repeat your question "Why do the great all die" Rite on man, rite on!

This is right smack in the middle of Jerry Lee’s favorite and best genre/format/style. He could have written it. People would have just thought - ‘Well, here’s more of JLL just doing what he does best ...” - I mean “I don’t mean to brag, but it’s understood; when ol’ Jerry do something, he sure do it good ...” Good grief - what more do you want? LOL .... I know he added the “ol’ Jerry” part, but even if he hadn’t, but just left it “I do something “ that’s got him up one side and down the other all over it.
