This man doesn't really get all the credit he deserves due to the scandal in '58. But he is one of THE best artists of all time. From his rock and roll, country, blues, gospel, and pop music he conquered it all. He made any song his own with his distinctive voice and of course his piano playing. And if it wasn't for him I would have never learned to play any instrument. I hope one day I can come somewhat close to his mastery of the piano.
@seyiru9883 жыл бұрын
Right? I totally agree with you. If it weren't for that scandal, I whole heartily believe he would have been bigger than Elvis. He was a huge star, and still is to this day. Personally, I like Jerry over Elvis. Not to take away from Elvis though, he's a legend.
@austinskaggs4184 Жыл бұрын
The scandal in 58… nice way of downplaying it. You mean he groomed his 13 year old cousin. I also wanna dispute a few things you said. First of all, he gets plenty of credit for being a rockabilly pioneer. JLL is not underrated by any means. We’re talking about a TWO time hall of famer. Also you said he conquered every genre. Well, no he didn’t. Definitely was not a good pop songwriter.

Yes he has a good life. but his days of the fast and furious have been set aside due to time. As it has for so many other Masters’s of the Rock & Roll era. Jerry Lee is one of our ground breaking greats. We the lucky few can hold onto the memories for a bit longer, but even that will eventually subsides into history. But the music lives on from generation to generation to come!

That looks like a 72 Riviera, not a 66 “GS”. In 1966 the Gran Sport was a hot rod trim on the Skylark A-Body platform featuring both the 401 big block and a high compression version of the 340 V8, leaving me to wonder precisely what Jerry owns. Either way, not like he’s driving anymore…but still good taste with the old Buick and other classics.

Don't really care about what he did with his cousin, because there is no doubt in the world that this man is a musical legend, and he has all the awards and accomplishments to prove it.
