As far as I'm concerned, this is more beautiful than words could ever describe.

I welcome you to my channel... I am 61 years old and I was listening to Jerry Lee Lewis before I started school... Probably just over 50 years. Thank you! 🎹🎹💜

He was certainly meant to sing gospel music. God given talent in his entire family.

How very lucky we have been to be able to witness such talent as this! During the last fifty/sixty years we have been privileged to be around to see and hear the likes of Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Rolling Stones Roy Orbison etc. Not only was their talent superb, but with the recordings both visual and audio, we and future generations, will be able to relive their finest renditions. There may well have been other great artists before but sadly their efforts are now lost forever due to poor or none existent recordings! And finally with the loss of Jerry Lee Lewis, are we seeing the end of what must surely have been the most exciting period of popular music ever, for those of us that have had the privilege of seeing and listening to ?

Another great post Paul. Went to see him at the Armadillo in Glasgow on his 80 birthday world tour. Still as brilliant as ever.

A close family member of Jerry Lee's is quoted as saying (in essence) that in spite of some of his "wild living" he never lost touch with his church upbringing and it was always in his heart. We sure can hear it when he sings gospel! And hallelujah Jerry Lee did get right with God before he passed and he is in Heaven now!

Yes, he remained close to God despite everything else. People who have criticized him do not know about the power of the almighty God.. if they criticize anyone on the journey of life, they need to think about it. It is so great to have you here! 🎹🎹🎹💜

Where is this version from. It is not on the Gospel LP and I can't lay my hands on the Church LP right Now. Have over 500 Lps on the Killer from countries all over the world. Been featured on TV here in Australia. It is on youtube.

This song is called "Things that matter most to me".
@PaulGaston884 жыл бұрын
No, I have uploaded that song too, but this is an old hymn.. the confusion came when someone upload 'the things that matter most' from a live show and titled it, 'Precious Memories'.
@gerhardnesper46604 жыл бұрын
Please read the text of "Things..(google): " There are many precious mem'ries that I'd like to recall And there are some things that I would surely like to forget I've been up Lord I've been down and sometimes just in between But you know something neighbors I haven't reached to my highest mountain yet Yes I know Gods bless me time and time and time and time again And these blessings for exceeding my deepest woe I've had the help of loved ones and many friends who stood by me...............
