Loved how Red Buttons ended this video. He recalled knowing Jerry at 5 years of age. He knew his mom and dad. What a lovely ways to end this video. Red Buttons enduring love for the work Jerry life has taken on.

This was the year My friend Matthew Brown Passed. He was a tireless member of this Association. I worked with Matt back in the late 80's. he was The most amazing guy I ever met. He wheeled every day ready to work and make us laugh and smile. He lived to 35 after many years of struggle. He was the most courageous Guy I ever met. He couldn't hold a phone but when we got him a head set, WOW!! His voice boomed For all to hear! He was and is my hero!! My beliefs tell me MATT RUNS LIKE THE WIND and awaits us in HEAVEN. I so hope his wife Ginger is still with us and is happy and healthy. R I P MATTHEW!! Peace to all!

I have nothing but admiration for Jerry Lewis who carried on hosting the show through some major medical issues (his appearance in TV appearances from this era was due to the medication he had to take and if I recall he also had to have some sort of electrical stimulator device implanted in his lower back to deal with a back problem). Nothing but respect from me. And yeah, very sad about John Ritter. This must have been his final public appearance then, huh.

John Ritter taped a week's worth of episodes of _Hollywood Squares_ prior to his death. That October, those _Hollywood Squares_ programs were dedicated in Ritter's memory, with a special intro which directly preceded those episodes' opening titles. Initially, John Ritter's condition was first diagnosed as a heart attack (it would later prove to be an aortic dissection.) He passed during surgery to rectify the dissection. He would have turned 55 years old the week after the surgery. Five years later, actress Amy Yasbeck, who was married to John Ritter at the time of his death, sued the doctors, citing negligence but lost.

Google,Jerry Lewis had Lou Gehrig's disease, died 91 from old age. He left huge estate to 2nd wife & next-in-line adopted daughter. sometimes ppl give inheritance to other family members before he die. Doesnt mean he didnt left his other kids zero.
