I love this movie. I think Cruise should have won Best Actor for it.

I'm glad Scott did this, this film doesn't enough credit for just how beautifully written it is. I would say Almost Famous is probably Crowe's best film as a director, but I think Jerry Maguire might be his masterwork as a writer.

I dont see it as Jerry having a psychological breakdown and never have. He gets f***ed in the a** by the odious Bob Sugar after having an attack of conscience and writing a mission statement. He struggles to regain his respect and digs deep to ultimately win the day. Brilliant script and perfectly cast.

Wow, very solid review, and straight to the point!! Only after watching the entire thing I realised it was uploaded 10 years ago, but it still holds up pretty well!

Jerry McGuire is probably my FAVORITE Tom Cruise movie, then Rainman, followed by A Few Good Men.

I like Cruise as well, but I've ways thought of him more of a movie star than a great actor. But I always felt he has that potential

Did he even watch the movie? Who is "Dorothy Ryan"? The name "Dorothy Boyd" is said (by Maguire) several times in the movie. Jerry Maguire: You're Dorothy Boyd in Accounts. see tom cruise in Magnolia, his best performance.

I think Cruise is smarmy in this movie and I don't believe his character arc at all. There. I said it. Feels good to get that off my chest.

Kath Morris of "Cold Case" and Lucy Liu of "Kill Bill" have bit parts in the film.

I watched it a few months ago. If thought it was a little weak.
