@@Newengland1966 Actually Chuck Norris said specifically "we trained together". He was not a student. As for Joe Lewis he and Lee were interested in the same thing and wanted to get a league started and they too trained together. But Lewis showed Lee as much as Lee showed. Lewis. You are just the typical fan boy. You see and hear what you want to reinforce your inner narrative that Lee was this fighting hero. You don't know this because you buy into the Lee mythology, but Bruce Lee only had a couple of real fights in his life. If you think that I'm wrong show me the proof not the rumors. PROOF eyewitness accounts. There are none LOL

@@luigiprovencher8888 Why does anyone lie? It benefits them. He's probably told that nonsensical story so many times that he thinks it's true. And why do so many lie about Bruce Lee. That he was a gang member in Hog Kong. That is a huge whopper. Bruce Lee grew up in a wealthy home. His father was a famous opera singer and quite wealthy. Lee was driven to and from school each day in a chauffeured limousine. He was enrolled in acting classes at the age of 5 and later dance classes. I could go on but I hope you get the idea. The Bruce Lee you read about does not exist. Pure mythology

"The difference between 'doing' and 'being'..." Bruce not only applied this philosophy to his martial arts but to his acting as well. Bruce was a phenomenal actor - because unlike 99% of other actors, Bruce didn't "act," rather he "became." In other words, when Bruce expressed emotion on the screen, any emotion, it was true and real. And it showed. Take note, Hollywood.

I read in a Sunday newspaper magazine an excerpt of an interview with Sarah Miles. Just a paragraph with Bruce's photo (used on Matt Polly bio). She worked with Lawrence Olivier. The first time she saw Bruce on film she said, "He was the greatest actor I've ever seen." I forget what else she said. It was something like "his intensity."

Sounds like Bruce was the most (if not one of the most) well read person on the topic of martial arts at that time. He had a personal collection of films of boxing matches, and other such studies. He read and researched broadly too, from Chinese martial arts (wing Chun, tai chi),Japanese arts like Judo, Jiu Jitsu and Karate, boxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, savate, fencing, escrima/Kali. The trained and sparred with everybody with interest in martial arts from Ip Man, Jesse Glover, Taky Kimura, Lee Fong, Fred Sato, Gene Labell, Chuck Norris, Bob Wall, Jim Kelly, Dan Inosanto, many many more.
