I’ve been to the USA a couple of times and why is the southern us people so much more welcoming and friendlier than the ppl from the north? I always land in New York but can’t wait to push the rental car to the metal into Kentucky or West Virginia and get the hell outta the north

I love me some Jerry Reed. What a total package he was. Very nice version of this tune. Shows his talent and skill,and charm, in this day of auto tune and sampling that cannot be equaled by todays talent. God bless the Snowman,Son!!

Couldn't agree more. There is a video here with Jerry and Glen doing this song with Tom Jones and Jim Sullivan. It is great. The picking and vocals are outstanding. They do it at a faster tempo and Glen and Jerry just crush it.

I’m originally from Southern California. I lived by the coast. It had a huge influence on me growing up and I dreaded moving to Central Virginia across the whole country…I’m now so grateful to have really grown up in the south. I’ve lived in Florida, North Carolina and now in South Carolina..I love the South with all my heart. My families roots are here. I couldn’t imagine moving back west. There’s nothing like the South..

Too bad he wasn't famous outside the USA. In Israel for example, guitarists don't know who he was. I believe Jerry was one of the top 10 guitarists of all time but other than that, don't forget he composed most of his songs and each one of them is a huge challenge even for the best guitarists. He worked with giants such as Elvis Presley himself and on top of that, he was a great actor too. I look up to someone I've never met (which I'm sorry about).
