I have an '84 CR 250 & from what I've read so far, it seems that the '84 model was much quicker and faster than the '85 model...

His cr250 has a pretty good engine, stock 38.4hp,25.6lbft of torque, and you know his engine isn't stock.

Jerry's dad here, we had a stock engine in the bike that weekend, and for whatever reason, it was just a slow engine, ran fine, just kinda slow . The engine Chad watts built was at Chad's getting freshened up, the slow engine is still in it, that's ok cuz I ride it again, it is mine, lol.keep that fresh engine ready to throw in , some day, Jerry will race it again!!

Crazy thing is Ricky Johnson ,David Bailey any top pro in 1985 would have been smoked by this kid. Those guys would have never believed you could go this fast on a motorcycle then.

At least here the classic scramble guys put Öhlins cartridges or something similar in the old shells and ride them like new bikes. So especially if he's backed by FC I'd think that he's got something else in there as well :D
