oooh ooh this was posted 4 hours ago. At 5am me and a buddy are leaving cleveland and driving to the villages to meet his dad for four days. I am coming with my Aventon ebike and I am their guest. My wife LOVEs the concept of the villages so I am doing the forward recon. I am extremely excited about this. (We are both 51) His dad has lived in the northern section for 20 years. I CANNOT wait!

Thank you for the lovely ride Jerry! I live near Seabreeze Rec and you're right it is a beautiful recreation center with a beach theme. That's exactly why I love riding around in The Villages because of the beauty of the landscaping and homes. I call it "eye candy". My husband went out for a very long walk in The Villages the first time we visited. Several hours after his walk , he said that his arm was sore from all the waving he did. He said that no one passed him with out saying hello. 😂 True story! We live in a golf community in Palm Beach and about 50% of the people don’t say hi or wave when you are walking around . That’s one of the nice things about your community. Have a fun Memorial Day weekend ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

The ball-type water tank is made by CB&I or Chicago Bridge & Iron even though they are no longer in Chicago, build bridges or use iron. Helmets are OK if you want to wear one, just don't try to force me to. Here in Texas motorcyclists have a choice.

We always enjoy your rides as it refreshes our memory on streets and the area we will be looking for a home next Jan, Feb, Mar. we knew right where you were the whole ride. So I have figured out that The Villages road/path system is actually a test of mental acuity!! I would be just like the guy in the golf car asking for directions because I would be so lost. (And yes, I probably would have some snarky woman yell at me to get out of the way. I totally relate to the lost gentleman.) Which brings up a good point...how snarky are the people when you are trying to figure out the area? I am attracted to the amenities of The Villages, but I do have hesitations about how I might interfere with other's lives and their plans for the day. (More importantly, I don't want to become like the woman in the golf car....!) The bike ride was so beautiful thank you for sending us this "postcard" view. Camera overheating could be due to increased radiation from the Sun not necessarily outside temperatures.

One observation: They should have constructed the approach to the tunnels as a curve, rather than a 90 degree turn to allow the people approaching to see into the tunnels- and oncoming traffic. The existing 90 degree approach doesn't allow a visual of oncoming traffic until you actually enter the tunnel

We have a home in Hawkins and unfortunately I work in another state. Of course we get down as much as we can but it’s not enough. I love your rides, keep them coming! I have 5 years until I’m there. Never understand the people in such a rush in their golf cars that they’re yelling or cursing people out. I had an older woman scream at me in Brownwood (at the last Farmers Market) to “GO ALREADY” when I had the right of way. I indicated that I didn’t want to run over 2 people walking across the street. Some people can’t be happy even on a beautiful Saturday.

Great video, looks fun. Just wanted to let you and viewers know that if you use black bags for your trash, birds do not bother it. You can even put your trash out the night before, never and issue. We see white bags torn all the time on our street, birds don’t touch the black ones. We just use regular trash bags in house, and then take them out to garage into a large black trash bag. Works great ! Thanks for the videos!

Like you, we absolutely love our ebikes. We have Aventon Pace 500's. We currently live in Colorado and have put over 2000 miles on them in the past 2 years. We will be moving to Lake Denham in the fall and can't wait to ride them in the Villages! Thank you for taking us along on another great bike ride. I was a little concerned about riding our bikes through the tunnels, but seeing you do it gives me courage.

One of our Minnesota 6th District judges from St Louis County, Duluth, Minnesota, was vacationing in Florida in early March of this year. She was on her morning run, I don’t know the type of street, but likely residential, when she was struck by a car and killed. Absolutely tragic. Her memorial was just this month. Very sad. She was the nicest young woman and always greeted me in the hallway each day at work. This is just to reinforce your caution and fear of riding your bike on the main drag. Drivers need to be aware of all traffic, including bicycle, pedestrian and golf cart, not just other motorists. Sometimes drivers forget. Driver had not been drinking. Duluth weather report, 87 degrees at my house on Tuesday, May 23rd and 38 on Wednesday the 24th. That’s right, nearly 50 degrees different. That’s what happens when a warm west wind changes to an east wind off Lake Superior. IT COULD HAVE SNOWED.
