I went to see the little mermaid 2 days ago and I know why Halle Bailey was cast as Ariel, she was absolutely phenomenal! Her voice is incredible! She definitely captured the essence of Ariel🧜🏾‍♀️ can’t wait for it to come on Disney+ so I can rewatch it over and over!

Yeah as a black woman, she’s made a lot of non black children a lot of non black women happy as well, this was for all of us. I saw so many little kids and families at the theaters and we all clapped.

Only black people need to be special the rest of the ethnic minority such as Chinese, Indian and Mexican we are all covered by ones black presence in every Disney show

First, I looked at the reviews of the live action little mermaid it had a low rating and lots of bad comments. But, seeing that young kids being so inspired by this is very heartwarming.

I never cared that a black actress was cast as the new Ariel. I never saw the issue. This girl had the goods. Her singing voice is ridiculously good. Plus, she is good at meeting and greeting the child fans which is equally crucial. I give her all the credit in the world.
