All this satisfaction is then ruined by all scratchy bits on his videos. And this is not neat picking. It's a genuine thing and lots of other people have it. I love his content, but the sounds of scratching metals make my skin crawl and I genuinely avoid watching some Jerry's videos because of that.

Not the same thing but the S24 and S24+ are sold with the Exynos chip anywhere outside of USA and they have worse battery life, performance and get slightly toasty sometimes plus the photos pretty diffrent.

The rubber rings usually have a sensing switch, and an actuator electromagnet that sends the ball back from where it come. May be this is a toy version and it has the visuals without the functionality...

It's just eyewash. Every year tens if not hundreds of millions of still perfect working Apple devices are being needlessly sent to the scrap heap, simply because of being icloud locked.

@@fake_butters Where did I state it was Apple itself which is doing this? Sure, some are obtained as stolen goods. But a vast majority are simply the iphones, macbooks, ipads etc. which have been discarded by it's original owners when they upgrade to a newer model. It was really eyepopping to see on a right to repair video I saw a few months back, numerous plastic containers filled to the brim with perfectly good iPhones which cannot be utilised once again as they have all being activation locked & either bricked or potentially bricked

It'd be interesting to try connecting a sim tray with a sim card inside and see if the iphone recognizes it. I remember this happening when plugging a dual sim one to a normal sim slot

if i remember correctly it does, someone put an eu phones sim tray inside the us model 14 pro and i’m pretty sure it worked fine, they just put a piece of plastic in the slot

As someone who’s never seen inside an iPhone, i’m surprised how modular it is and how many screws and ribbon cables there are, i had assumed it would all be tightly integrated on a single board with minimal cables / connectors. Also thought the battery would take up more space than it does and the circuit boards less space.

I’m glad you’re taking the time to consider other phones. Great time to pass along some information about Samsung (and Motorola’s) flip phones directly from an AT&T representative (not me, an acquaintance of mine). He told me tell everyone to beware of those phones . They are trendy and cute and oh, the click when it closes! But after about a year a line develops across the screen where the phone bends, and Samsung and Motorola give their customers hell every time they try to use their warranty to repair or replace it. It’s a mess!

It actually cost more to mine the materials from existing devices both financially and in time it takes, space is needed for the very specialised equipment, extra staff and energy etc. Apple have designed and developed the equipment and process needed to keep it in house so very innovative.

Just substract 273.15 from Kelvin you will get temperature in celsius.

Still looking forward for implementation of safety feature that detects if iPhone has been disassembled in any way, And prevents from using device unless it's gonna be taken to Apple repair for "verification". Right to repair has achieved almost nothing when it comes to Apple devices.

4:55 Jerry mentions Apple recycling. They are using "recycled" cobalt, not "recycling" cobalt, two different things. That said, it's good that a big company is using recycled materials. even though they are a significant source of e-waste.

I find it funny that the Backglass on the 15 Pro Models are not software blocked anymore which Phone Repair Guru had shown, but the Backglass on the Base 15 Models is still software locked. Like they aren't even trying to hide the fact that they want you to get the Pro Models anymore...

3 days late but this is an amazing teardown video. Looks like the regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 plus is a little more durable than the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max on bending.

7:40, does this mean that you have given up the Z Flip 5? Or will that be the other device they you are thinking of using still? I absolutely love mine after about 2 months. It's now officially my 4th favorite phone of all time (behind the Note 4 and S21 Ultra, and Sidekick 3).

I'm interested to see you using the iphone for a period of time, but didn't you say you would also use the flip 5 long term to see how it holds up? just curious if your no longer doing that for some reason
