I can't decide between the K20 and the K20 Pro.. i read in GSMarena that the K20 Pro has thermal throttling issues whilst the K20 doesn't because it uses a lower SD7xx series instead of the SD8xx series, although gaming frame rates would be lower. How satisfied are you with the K20 Pro? Did you have thermal throttling issues?

2 years later i am still using this phone. Its built like a brick. The front camera still works like a charm eventhough i use facial recognition every time i unlock my phone. Its like 50 times per day.

same brother, i think the key to keep the front camera working is to actually use it multiple times a day to ensure that there's no jamming, plus the phone is built like a brick, multiple drops no damage

Actually you get a better phone when buying high end Samsung and Apple. But you get diminished returns. This means that from €200 to €500, you get a way better phone. From €500 to €800, you get a quite better phone. From €800 to €1100, you get a phone that's just a little bit better.

Mine scratches at level 2 with deeper grooves when applying higher pressure. It's super cheap and it still works.

It's really a great phone, used more than 4 years without issue, only broken back glass because of drops. So good that I upgraded to their flagship 13 ultra recently. A bit sad that I don't see this utilization of the pop up camera on newer phones, it works so well and is durable and avoid having a black portion on the phone screen that I hates.

I just changed my camera lens protection glass today cause I'm a moron and completely shaterred it when I tried to not trip at work. And from the name of the part (that is listed on the repair note) that they change, it seems there are other color circles than just that hologram one, as its called "back camera acessory f11- holographic silver" from that im guessing there might be other colors either planned or already in use (maybe for the chrome black and pearl white versions)

@@Some2somewhere Black version has a red camera lining (which stands out more than silver) instead of silver. Haven't seen others colors yet but that distinction could be the reason why they have to specify holographic silver in the accessory name.

Watching this on my Mi 9t (same as the K20) and favorite parts are the full screen real estate, in screen fingerprint sensor, and the built-in Hi-Fi DAC. Those were my 3 criteria when getting a new phone, but the awesome camera, great battery life, and low price was just a bonus. Hard to go back to more mainstream companies.

The K20 pro has everything someone can need in a phone. The only problem is that it has spywarey MIUI by default, but that can be solved with just installing LineageOS as this phone is really easy to unlock.

Currently using my mi 9t pro for about 4yrs. Back cover already came off when I remove the case, so I seized the opportunity to make the back cover clear. Removed the upper black plastic cover leaving the flash covered with its plastic glass and soldered the earpiece with thin wires. Replaced the battery, cut the buttom black plastic cover. Repasted the termal paste. I don't have plans to upgrade my phone yet since I stop playing mobile games. This phone still rocks even after how many times I fell it.

I own this phone. Absolutely flawless, especially for me, who owned a Moto G5. Killer specs, killer cameras, killer screen, battery and audio quality. In my country (Brazil) it's called MI 9T Pro. It was approximately 500 bucks (2100 reais). Since flagships here are around 1000 dollars for Androids and 2500 for the iPhones (6500 reais for the iPhone 11 Pro Max), this is an excellent option on our market, for those (like me) who don't like to spend much money on cellphones, but still want a good phone.

Tomorrow im getting the Redmagic 9 pro but this mi 9t still rocks* after a back glass and battery replacement, so i will keep it a little longer I got the 6gb RAM version and... google telemetry is very ram hungry... i think pop up cameras disappeared in less than a year due to conspiranoic privacy concerns :^/

Got the Mi 9T this weekend, really enjoying it. It surprises me how much of goodies you get for the money. Its also a bit of a relief seeing that (even tho its not really water proof/resistant) it does has some protection against dust and water, so my guess walking in the rain would be fine if it gets wet in the pocket or something

@@AnitaYadav-jp2gz i have moved on to an Oneplus 7t Pro Mclaren edition, out of the price range for sure. I use the Mi 9T as a secondary. The cameras arent that obsolete as you think, whenever i go to a festival i take the 9T with me. The sound and video recording on it is more capable for that situation then the premium devices i have owned. A more recent device would be the newer versions of the Mi series in the same price range, cant remember the names, or a poco phone. I have convinced my mother to go for a Oneplus Nord, her experience with that is very good... And oneplus does deliver solid devices, i owned a oneplus 6 in the past and tho oneplus does have their weird things... The product line for normal users is good

oh my God... i just love the way you have described the whole K20 pro teardown with technical aspects. Now i feel u whispers in my ears too frequently with all "those rubber sealings to protect from water and dust". Best Part is the stepper motor explanation and finding out the led at the corners of front pop camera. :) 👌🏻👌🏻 Would love to see about I phone XI pro🙏🏻
