The studio should be held accountable for destroying this woman. And they still get away with it even today, maybe they all need to be investigated and held accountable. That will not happen because they are corrupt and cover their butts. Judy is at peace, and she is happy where God has her. She has three beautiful children, and they will succeed further. Prayers to her family. Thank you, Jerry, for talking about Judy and her life it is a true tribute to this woman who deserved more but did not get it.

Jerry…You really outdid yourself on this one! Excellent work! My heart breaks for Judy. Why couldn’t just one person take her aside and say…”I will be your friend, I will help you learn how to budget and invest your money, and I will teach you how to how to help yourself live a healthy life”? We’re there no adults in her life?!!! At least it sounds like she had the love of her children. Although it was painful to watch, thank you for bringing us this documentary. I have an idea that it took a great deal of research. Thank you, Craig

Look into her life a wee bit DEEPER & you'll find an OCEAN of tears awaitin' ye, Lad. Try reading an e-book or visiting your local library to find an autobiography called Judy Garland on Judy Garland by Randy L Schmidt. It will REALLY open your eyes. But, to get back to your point; it is INDEED a shame what MGM did to NOT ONLY Judy but Mickey Rooney whilst they were in their TEENS....... I can't EVER listen to her sing her Trademark Swan-song (Now that I know JUST HOW MUCH it COST her) without tearing up. RIP, Frances Ethel Gumm. The REST of the world knew you as Miss Judy Garland as, admittedley, did I. It seems that Elton could've dedicated "Candle in the Wind" to you as well. RIP, Dear Sweet American SongBird. I hope you've found your way O'er yer own Rainbow, lass. You were taken from us, WAY TOO SOON, but I believe I'm done on this topic...I'm tired of sheddin' tears & wish that I could JUST go back to when I barely knew about you & ONLY interacted w/ you annually for the re-showing of the role that made you famous and your name a household word (usually in April in my timezone). YOU ARE LOVED & SORELY MISSED!!!!

I was born in Grand Rapids Minnesota in the same hospital and possibly the same room that Judy was born in. I've lived there most of my life. Her childhood home was moved to its current location and is now the Judy Garland museum. I have driven by the house (museum) for years now and have never been in there, maybe this week. I would especially like to see the carriage used in the wizard of oz. My father was older than the Gumm children and I asked him if he knew or ever met the family and he said he knew who they were but not personally. The theater building front is still there. An interesting family. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

A couple of years back I went to see Judy the movie. When the movie was over and the house lights came up, there wasnt a dry eye in the house. Both men and women were touched. We all had an idea of how tragic her life was. I remember her show on tv when Liza came on, and I wondered then, who really is Judy Garland??? Your video tonight is the most touching tribute I have ever seen to Judy Garland and THE BEST.❤❤❤ Thank you sir. Robbing a childs psyche is the worst thing anyone can do to make a person one of the walking dead. ❤ you give her psyche back to her, the rightful owner. ❤

Jerry, you did a SUPERB job on this docu!!! What a tragic life she lived. Bad enough to go through such a life in relative obscurity. But, to live it out for all to see is sad beyond words. So many of the child stars of her era were abused, and it continued through the 60's until stronger laws were passed to protect child actors.

Thank you Mr Skinner. This old 48-50 era born boomer has loved 'Time Travelling' along with you in every episode you produce'. since stumbling on to you 3 years ago. Discovering what happened behind the headlines I saw but didn't understand all of the 'stars' of the days I got to see at the flics every Saturday afternoon, eased by your soothing voice and what is to me, a Canadian, a delightful accent to add a touch of spice to the mix, all eased by your soothing voice. Keep it up. You are good ! Maybe you've done it already but hope there is or will be a version about the 'Davy Crockett' culture (mid-50s) that was 'culture defining' for my age group and expand it into how 'Mattel' handled the popular market by introducing absolutely excellent toy guns ranging from gorgeously perfect 'Black powder' muskets to Colts every would-be cowboy boy wanted . . . but many were not able to afford.

her story is so tragic the fact that she struggled with addiction bc of her own mother not being a mother and not allowing a studio to do that to her young child. You can tell deep inside she was a scared little girl trying to figure out how to be a normal adult but the trauma she experienced as a child stayed with her up until her death. I can relate to not wanting to do something without a drink especially young that’s ptsd & trauma. It was also terrible that women were paid way less than men back then despite being the actually star - my dreams of being an actress comes and goes due to that and also being a black woman. This was a great documentary on her life I work in a nursing home and a lot of my residents love her and tell me all about her so I decided to research her - she was always just Dorthoy to me but I got to see her as an actual person.

My heart aches for Judy Garland! My prayers are she is in state of complete love and is appreciated to the fullest extent. My believe is we go to Heaven and are in Service there . Also, I think We continue to progress in whatever service . Judy Garland is an example of total talent and being used. Judy’s mother seems to have been the main culprit against her daughter. And old Hollywood really took advantage of Judy while her own mother allowed it to happen. Judy had no real help to get off drugs. And instead, she used drugs as a coping mechanism to endure life and it’s confusions. Judy Garland was a profound singer and actress and she is loved.
