Nani done many roles like that in his career and excels in doing such roles. Everytime he gets to play struggling person role he hits out of park. Shahid never actually done such roles and I think isn't suited for that either. So he is doing what he does best brining intensity in to his character. Hope he pulls it off convincingly. If he doesn't make audience feel he is underdog film won't work

Just look at the frame where Nani sat on his sofa after losing all hopes on his cricketing future and compare it to Shahid's one. I'm not demeaning Shahid, but Nani is just too good as Arjun. And it is evident from the trailer that Shahid gave his soul to the film.

I don't understand telugu. But the telugu trailer makes me tear up every time I watch it. Maybe it's the way it's cut. Maybe it's the music. But that last dialogue that Nani says about his son always gets me. ❤️💔

Nani was visually lost and sad all the time and he let it all out in train scene when he got selected but Shahid in train scene felt like how a fast bowler punches in the air aggressively after getting a wicket.

I generally don't comment much... But just wanted to say that the hindi dubbed movie you watched on KZfaq (I am guessing Goldmines channel one) is not the same screenplay as the original telugu one and it really messed up everything in how we perceive the movie... If you can, please watch the original telugu version movie of Jersey and try to see how director wanted to say things...

@@CineDesi if it's dubbed it's the same version u ll find jaby and its not dubbed officially from team jersey so it has lost its way in story telling and scene dialogues got changed. For example while Nani shouts at the railway station the whole scene has no dialogues where just his emotions speak and dubbing ruined that😪😪😥 they added dialogues..

@@CineDesi Jaby bro, screenplay in Hindi dubbed is completely different. They also changed the dialogues. You should watch Jersey in its native language. If you do this, you will realise that Hindi dubbed and original Telugu versions are not only different In audio but they are completely different movies. Give it a try, trust me you missed a masterpiece. Hindi dubbed version tried every possible way to ruin this masterpiece.

Nani's performance was truly natural.. whereas Sahid's acting seems somewhat strong... When you look Nani u genuinely feel for him.. like some sort of sympathy comes for Nani.. but in Sahid kapoor's version.. what you see is pure strong acting.. but that Natural thing is missing. When you see Nani's acting he is so natural especially the train scene.. I just hope they make justice to the original Jersey movie

Jaby is right to point out that Nani looks innocent, more grounded and convincing to portray the helplessness of a father desperately trying to fulfill his only child's wish. I too cannot unsee Kabir Singh in Shahid's portrayal of this character. While Nani's eyes convey vulnerability and fear, Shahid's eyes don't and still looks egoistic and confident, which I feel is not suited well for a character that has lost so much in his life. PS: I have not watched the original one either but can still figure out from the trailer that Nani's version is the one I would prefer and like more.

My opinion - 1.Shahid Kapoor doesn't look like a father , the guy who left his dream for his family and got tired of his life...I didnt see that in Shahid's face. 2.The most important I feel is the actress... She doesn't feel realistic whereas in the original the actress nailed her role🔥 3.The train scene.... Shahid is angry but where is the pain...Nani showed the pain determination and anger everything. Shahid is a great actor I totally agree... But I don't think he did as good as Nani❤️❤️❤️

To speak in general, Main problem with watching dubbed films, they butcher the songs and music so much, that it actually makes the movie so much different, in terms of vibe. Even in tamil version of Jersey they buthcered the songs and muted some parts of BGM, it actually felt off, because i watched the movie in telugu too. So native is the best way to go for any real movie experience.

Jersey is a beautiful story with lot of emotions which touch your heart and adding to that, what makes the movie even better is Nani's mesmerizing performance and Anirudh's Heart touching BGM (One of the best album in his career in my opinion) . If you have watched the dubbed version of Jersey on KZfaq then you haven't watched the original. Period

The sadness that Nani portrayed really matched up to the final reveal at the end of the movie and suddenly everything made sense and wrenched our hearts. Also his beard really looked apt for that character.

Shahid Kapoor's role still feels like Kabir Singh (from appearance and trailer cut). Trailer cut much better in Telugu version from both male and female leads' performances! But I think movie nonetheless will be good because it's a good story and directed by same director - Gowtham

@@nyxo3633 we all here can talk about only trailer now. And this video is a comparison of two trailers. And my opinion is based on that. We all know Shahid is a great actor, but he lost to Nani in this particular trailer is my point. Cheers!

Nani has shown the required vulnerability as a father and the husband. He had shown the guilt required coz he's fighting so many inner demons at the same time. Shahid appeared stoic. The problem with that kind of an approach is that majority of the audience may end up not relating to the protagonist. Even in the shouting scene at the railway station, Nani could show the right mix of vulnerability and achievement, but in case of Shahid it appeared like Kabir Singh's achievement instead of a father's effort for his son. To sum it up, Jersey original appeared like a father's career resurrection journey to inspire his son, while Shahid's version appeared more like he's just trying to prove a point. Its unfair to compare actors, but the understanding of the character by the respective actors seems to be different. I don't know what the director had on his mind. Personally though, I didn't even like the cricket matches part of Nani's version as they made a joke of the game. And Shahid appeared a better fit than Nani as a cricketer. People saying that Shahid is still in Kabir Singh zone. That's because of the impact that character had on us. That character was so different and sick that it stayed with all of us. The same happened with Vijay Deverakonda too. The moment he gets angry in any of his movie after Arjun Reddy give same vibe.. it's because the character was so diff and affective. Also KS was a monstrous hit. And ofcourse Shahid did a fab job in that. Plus Shahid having almost same look as KS also giving same vibe.. it's more about the affect of the Kabir Singh. 🔥 Moreover, everyone is going like oh Nani did fab job. No one can match his level. That's similar to the things which was said before Kabir Singh release that he can't match Arjun Reddy's level. Well after release of KS things were different. He not only matched but took Kabir one step ahead. No actor is here to match the level. Actors don't copy. They just give their touch. They just portray their own version. On every post of Jersey I go. The mob of robots shitting same thing out. Nani is better. Nani is better. Let the movie come out first, bitches. Shahid will troll you all again. Trust him. 👊

Helplessness was protrayed by nani unlike Shahid. Shahid felt like "Yeah I have no job so what I'm doing my best". Nani's performance felt like "I think I'm not doing enough, I could do more". Nani showed guilt in his actions!

Yep he doesn't feel like a underdog for me atleast from the trailer it felt like Kabir Singh who plays cricket and has a son who wants a Jersey which costs 500/-rs like that character is angry but not just angry and has many more emotions

I've seen the original. I don't speak hindi or telugu so no bias there and I love both actors. But I have to say I prefer the innocence Nani brings. I get more emotionally drawn to his side when he's child like because I get conflicted. Obviously the wife is right to be angry but I still want to come to the defense of Nani. You don't want to see someone who is a kid at heart lose everything they have. With Shahid's sterner performance I feel like oh he messed up and I'm more on the wife's side. Maybe I'll feel differently once I see the Shahid's version.

Hindi version i felt like its very dull may be because of BGM Were as Telugu version is some what very interesting and bgm is added plus I think telugu version trailer cut is Perfect Nani is a Natural star 👍

Director really improvised his mistakes in this one.... Only when i saw him scream that felt like Kabir Singh but when you see him in his depressed state that felt like a totally different person..... Definitely I'll i liked Shahid's performance

Hindi version of Nani's jersey is re-edited and they changed the screenplay. So what you saw is not the original. If possible you should watch it in telugu.

I'm not being biased but Nani's Jersey looks way better than this one. Genuine, reality, natural, and experienced deep emotions! But overall, Shahid & Mrunal's acting looks flawless....

my god jaby, your watched it in Hindi dubbed. they literally re-edited the movie. even Nani talked about how bad hindi dub and editing was in an interview with film companion. I noticed some North viewers saying Nani's performance in original was slightly comedic in nature. WTH man. was the editing made it feel comedic or the Hindi dialogues? Someone who watched the hindi dubbed, please help me understand. coming to the trailers, i believe the background score is what making the difference.

The original Nani's version must be watched in original language and it losses all its emotional depth and impact in the hindi dubbed version. I'm impressed that you liked the movie that much, just by watching the Hindi dubbed version. As for me it took away everything that's great about the movie experience. The meaningful dialogues, the depth in voice and emotional indulgence, and most of all the moving music and deep meaningful songs... Everything is absent in the hindi dubbed version. Also the screenplay, dialogues and music were altered to make it look like a totally different movie... Losing the impact it will have with its original screenplay. The character moments and relationships were altered in the process of changing the dialogues, which is ridiculous Whoever wants to watch the Nani's Jersey movie, I strongly recommend to watch it in Telugu version.

I like Shahid I believe he did a great work in kabir singh but in this perticular movie I don't think anyone can replace Nani. Helplessness which the hero faces in the story was better potrait by Nani compare with Shahid

I love Shahid Kapoor. First of all, original movie is the national award movie. Iam sorry to say👇 shahid didn’t' match Nani's acting skills. (Yes he's looking promesing) Original Jersey, i have watching 12 times, so iam not watching to remake Jersey .❤️ Sorry 😑😑😑😑
