I met this guy on BLK. Our first meet up was at Brusters, an ice-cream parlor. It was so simple but we had fun! We sat in his car listening to music, had great conversation, and laughed for hours. We were there from 7:30pm until AFTER closing time. This was in September and we've been dating ever since. We actually went to the Cheesecake Factory recently at Cumberland Mall in GA on a Saturday night. They were DEFINITELY packed and the food was great. I believe as long as your intentions are good, you're genuinely enjoying each other's company, and the effort is there on both sides...it doesn't necessarily matter where you go for a date. Everyone is different. 😊

Ive served and bartended for two decades and while everyone is currently talking about The Cheesecake Factory, i worked there for five years and there’s many reasons why they’ve had so much success over such a long period of time. They train into you how EVERY SINGLE GUEST is supposed to be treated and served(and service is tested monthly). There’s no differentiation between guests. They also have protocols for everything, so there should be consistency every time you walk in in food, service and beverages. Now , having worked in atlanta for years, i understand some of these rules out there like time limits and added gratuity, but the only reason these restaurants get away with this is because despite having bad experiences people will come back because of fomo. Because they saw that celebrity there. So i would suggest the everyday man have standards because that restaurant needs you way more than you need them

I worked at CCF for 3 years. 3 locations, 2 different states and agreed. I came from a Food & Beverage, night life and hospitality background and the training at CCF was my top 3 most difficult for an entry level job. Harder and stronger brainwashing than The W/Starwood hotels. I believe it was 4 weeks of training with tests and all but it coulda been more. The food ain’t lit like that from my opinion they keep you coming back bc of the consistency and service. They understand the formula. It’s not that hard to consistently be decent but it takes practice and commitment. It’s smooth sailing from there. Shout out to the CCF ppl. Them all white outfits were a bitch!! Y’all that came in the all black era are blessed! 😂

This resturant to lounge/club transition started during Covid when the bars were forced to close and only resturants that sold food could stay open. All of a sudden family resturants open until 2am, DJ setting up at 8pm, valet parking and hookah. It has not went back to the way it was and I wish it would. $250 minimum to sit down at a 4 top table on a Saturday. Blasphemy!

As a bakery owner in Georgia, there are certain requirements needed in order for you to sell alcohol without being labeled a “bar”. You have to sell a certain percentage of food for you not to fall under the “bar” category which opens you up to more tax/legal headaches. This is why “restaurant and lounge” type places are of abundance there. It’s clearly a club but on paper they are a restaurant. At least during the day…then they’ll close the kitchen and have drinks and hookah. It’s probably also why their customer service sucks in general bc they don’t care if you’re buying the food…the alcohol sales are what pays the bills

As soon as the next customers came in, they didn't know what they wanted. The attitude she gave them was like I was seeing two different ppl. It might have helped bc I was also holding a baby so she might not have wanted to give me attitude with him there. But I tell u, the way that woman treated those other customers made me never want to go there again. I will make sure to always have my baby with me when I go bc that food is🔥🔥🔥🔥. Btw, she didn't have half the ish those ppl asked for n it was on the menu haha😂😂😂.

@@mssophied1295 Atlanta has been known as “The Black Mecca” for decades. What I mean is, it’s always been a place for young, black, professionals to thrive. This is a place that honestly gives black people a chance to succeed even if you don’t have all the education needed. As long as you have a good work ethic and a level of drive, you can make it here. No matter the industry. Given all of that, Atlanta has always been a very welcoming city. You didn’t have to “be somebody” to be treated a certain way. The Real Housewives of Atlanta was the first reality show that came to Atlanta and garnered the national attention that it did. Atlanta being Atlanta welcomed the spotlight with open arms. Once that happened, these famous “housewives” started planting their roots here including the likes of Kandi. Kandi, although I respect her hustle, is an opportunist and “celebrity culture” oriented. This translates to her restaurant Old Lady Gang, as Jessie elaborates about in this video. Kandi is one example. Times that by every Atlanta Housewife being the same way. Then, Love and Hip Hop Atlanta starts filming here, then Tyler Perry Studios is built here. Slowly but surely Atlanta started to become a place where celebrities gather and less about being a “Black Mecca” where any black person can come and thrive. I’m an actress, so in a way, I’m glad for the change, but I still miss the old Atlanta.

Jess a few things:😂 (1) Your work ethic and dedication to making your vision your reality is what’s inspiring . (2) You, Keith Lee and everyone else told no lies about the ATL food scene. If I ever want to go a popular Black owned spot, I go in the middle of the day in the middle of the week… NEVER on a weekend because I don’t care for their BS rules! (3) Dude told you who he was and spared you a lot of drama. If that one comment made you unattractive to him, that shows how insecure he is. Keep your Tesla pushin! (4) That Jamaican restaurant skit was spot on!!! I always expect a Wast Indian restaurant to walk back to The Caribbean to make my food, then bring it back! 🤣 And I’m West Indian so I can say that about us!

The fact that it’s normal is crazy…I’d be eating at home a lot of I lived in ATL. It was also hilarious how there were all these nice expensive cars at this one spot…ppl were complaining out-loud about prices and cover charges inside. Outside had me thinking everyone inside was rich.

In my business, I have to balance between having a comfortable environment for patrons waiting, but not too comfortable where folks just want to hang out...... for hours. It happens at black churches where folks have to be forced out by after service, It happens at black clubs where folks have to be forced to leave after the club closes, an It happens at black restaurants where folks have to be forced out after their meal. There are so many black businesses/churches/apartments where folks will just "hang"in the parking lot. Just hanging out?!? It's almost as if a large number of us don't want to go home. So restaurants (black restaurants) have to respectfully combat this problem, all day, everyday.

I don't understand the reference. We(blk people) like to fellowship. It's in our culture. But what exactly were you trying to correlate?
@JustJohnda
@JustJohnda 9 ай бұрын
Fellowship at your own home or establishment. Time is money. For a business, time and space is money. That table you all are using to "Fellowship" all afternoon, especially if you are not continuing to order more food and drinks is needed to run the business. Ninety minutes is a little short, but staying 2+ hours at a busy restuarant, that has served you in a timely fashion, and you aren't ordering anything else, is excessive. To expect people to wait on you for extended periods of time, even at church, is entitled and disrespectful. Somebody has to close the building. So, they aren't supposed to go home because ya'll want to linger? NO. Go home Roger!

It's telling how the restaurants in ATL wanted to suddenly do stuff for him once he showed his face. If he was a rapper or something that's one thing but he literally reviews FOOD/service so him coming in wouldn't yield an authentic experience or review. The restaurants got caught with how they normally act and they're mad. Also to go and make a corny skit that they don't know who he is only further proves that he has pull and that they're hurt.

You are not lying!!! I don’t even go out to eat in Atlanta anymore, especially on the weekends. We find a smaller mom and pop or “less popular” with good reviews. The music is always way too loud (they want to be a club so bad) the waits are way too long, customer service is trash - they act like they don’t want to be at work, way too packed, sides are ALWAYS extra. Pay $35 for an entire and have to pay extra for sides. Parking is $20 minimum. And the food is just ok. 😒 I just stopped going out.

I definitely appreciate that you were honest about the restaurant experiences in Atlanta. That's a huge inconvenience, and although they want to weed out certain people, they're still missing out on the money they could make by allowing take out orders. Who wants to experience having to wait all that time and not being able to sit at the bar, get a cute lil appetizer? Who wants to be told no, you can only sit here for this amount of time? There's a need for the traditional restaurant style with great food and great customer service. I'm in Jacksonville Florida. I don't go anywhere where I'm inconvenienced as a customer. So I feel you. I have a better appreciation to be able to park for FREE, sit down with reservations, sit for as long as I want, and still be provided with great service. I am a serial Google Review commenter. 😅😅
