They became popular throughout West Africa, but ultimately re-located to the United States, leaving stardom behind. Now, decades later, Jess & Peter have found a new opportunity to share their music far and wide.

j'ai été marqué toute ma jeunesse par ces chansons. Je connais tout par coeur chaque tonalité de l'album. 1985 - 1987, il n'y a pas de jour où j'ai pas joué cest mélodies et Je me rappelle lorsque j'ai quitté le Togo pour l'Europe et que mes copains sont venus rendre visite à ma mère et quand ils sont rentés dans ma chambre, la première cassette que l'un d'entre eux a mis dans le lecteur c'est Jess et Peter et selon ma mère ils ont tous crié mon nom et des larmes ont coulé de leur yeux parce que on m'assimilait à cet album de Jess & Peter. Je viens de vous découvrir sur le net. toute cette nuit j'ai eu des larmes aux yeux en écoutant tout l'album. waooo ! j'adore

Aujourd'hui j'ai 41 ans , j'ai grandi en côte d'ivoire et nous écoutions cet album en voiture sur les routes de brousses en direction de l'océan pour le weekend ! Gravé a jamais dans mon cœur.... Clipo clipo for ever...... Mes parents âgé de 75ans aujourd'hui on entendu cette musique après des années et cette larme de joie et de moments à coulé.,,.. de bons souvenirs que beaucoup d'entre nous partageons. Je vous embrasse tous 🙏💪

Since my 5 years old, my father played their music. Now, i can no longer separate me from this. I'm 24, and sometimes, when i have been playing their music, some friends say " Man, you're too young and you are playing such song". I reply in saying "Sorry you don't know good music, the good vibes". Thank for All to Jess Sah bi and Peter one.

I saw Peter One open for Jason Isbell in Shipshewana, IN. He sounded operatic. Such a rich voice. My favorite was a really sad song called Don’t Go Home. Peter doesn’t have much of an online presence, but if you get the chance, go see him

I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Togo when you guys captivated me in the mid-80s. I still have that cassette tape somewhere with no way to play it! So glad your work is online.

I feel blessed and humbled to have been one of your Students ( CEG Facobly - 5e) back then. I still remember, you coming to the classroom with your guitar, and gifting us with some songs. You surely contributed to help me be who I am today, and I would say I am deeply grateful for that. Listening to this short program gave me another opinion (a good one though) of you. Chaque fois que j'écoute depuis mon enfance l'une des chansons de leur riche et bien anciens répertoire, les messieurs m'ont toujours donné l'envie de pleurer depuis mon enfance, pourtant je n'y comprends rien...C'est ça le talent et c'est cela aussi la magie des belles mélodies. Every time I listen to one of the songs from their rich and ancient repertoire since my childhood, the gentlemen have always made me want to cry since my childhood, yet I don't understand it ... that is talent and that is also the magic of beautiful melodies.
