Love PACU, after working Med Surg, IMU, NICU, and Acute Dialysis I finally found my specialty! I am trying to get a Part time gig as a Transfusionist in the OR using the Cell Saver machine so I can travel a little more and see more as even though I’m very happy in PACU I just get restless and wanna see and learn more. Thanks for posting about your PACU job and seeing what your facility and routine is like.

Also, I remember orientation as a new grad like it was yesterday (7 years ago for me). It definitely is a LOT of info and a hard transition for me but it does get easier! It took me about a year to two years to feel a little more comfortable 🤣

Hi im a british citizen but did my nursing diploma in pakistan. Now I have working holiday visa and i will come to Australia in june. Do u think they accept the 3 year diploma for conversion course? Im thinking o going to Brisbane so do u think its a good place😂

Yes! I do 10hrs. But you can do 6 or 8 by request

Sometimes they offer a novice program so you could be trained to work in a certain area but you will definitely need to have some kind of background nursing experience.
